Tenn. Lottery CEO blames lagging sales on Powerball
Think about it. Keno drawn every 5 minutes with ball machines is logistically and physically impossible. Drawing 5,000 6-digit raffle numbers with a ball machine is logistically and physically impossible. I would not suggest what I said about 10 digits without reason. I never said computers should be banned entirely. They have their purposes. But one of them is not lotto-style games. There are basically three types of people who like computerized drawings: The companies that cr

Maryland Mega Millions lottery winner claims prize anonymously
A 49-year-old woman and her daughter came to Maryland Lottery headquarters Monday carrying a locked safe. Inside was the $24 million Mega Millions winning ticket from last Tuesday's drawing. As she sat hugging her oversized check, the winner told Lottery officials her story. The winner almost didn't purchase the ticket that ultimately made her a multi-millionaire. I went to the store to play a $5 Quick Pick ticket, she told Lottery officials. After running the $5 playslip through the t

Could any of you help me?
1) I have been playing the lottery less than a year. 2) Since I have noticed that a lot of winners (CA) purchased them in ARCO and 7-eleven stores, thats where I play. (not the same stores). I Also sometimes drive to a particular lucky retailer to purchase tickets. 3) I purchase my tickets at every play, twice a week. I usually buy the soda and chips or popcorn or something. No reason, I just have. 4) I have a lucky gemstones bag that must accompany every lotto purchase. included

Suggested QP VS Choosing Survey Project
The Little Lotto is every night and I usually play it, sometimes not if the jackpot is at the $100,000 starting point. Up to about three years ago I picked numbers, tracked numbers, etc.... then I subscribed to the e-mail I posted samples of here. In three years I've seen two subscription winners (that's out of some 1095 draws), and when there is a jackpot, usually it's a quick pick. I've also seen very few jackpot winners purchased at grocery stores, just an FYI. I play the Pic

Quick Picks can't match the power of Self Picks
JADE Lottery OK, since you said: Well, ok, picks topic all aside, I really do enjoy the fight more than the actual topic itself. Regardless if I'm right or wrong, it was a pleasure doing battle with you. Winning in a lottery fashion is nothing compared to this, this is priceless. I'll play some more ( gee, I didn't know I'd meet a 5-point Calvinist on a lottery board!) OK, here we go, earlier, you said Its wrong in assuming that people just want to win the jackpot. Actua

Quick Picks can't match the power of Self Picks
JADE Lottery I see that in another posted topic someone is taking credit for someone else's effort and trying to pass it off as their Quick Pick challenge. That's a really sad attempt to try and convince others that somehow another person's time, money and effort is a means of proving their point. If it's my thread you're talking about you assume much. I'm not taking credit for anything. If you read the OP to my thread the specific numbers aren't what it's about, it's QP jackpots vs cho

Off the wall strategies or just wasting time?
Raimaker101 1. Whether it matters or not, everyone probably has places they feel lucky or jinxed at buying their tickets from. 2. Personally, I don't think it matters at all, and might only lead to missing a drawing because you were too late. There is no psyching out the terminals, believe me I've tried! 3 4. Someone buying $60 in quick picks needs to call GA!, if you mean $60 a day or a drawing. That's $6,240 a year for MM or PB, that is way over recreational play . Just my $.02.

The prediction software you've been waiting for?
a few can analyze data but none can analyzes data in such a way as to be able to predict numbers any better than quick picks. I think it's because we fool ourselves into believing that we have enough data to predict numbers. Are there any 5/39 games with 575,757 draws where we could analyze trends? Even with Pick-3 games, is one full trial (1000 draws) enough to accurately evaluate random draws or do we need more? The problem is no one has identified enough information about winning
