You just hit the Jackpot - 200+ Millions - now what??
how many have thought about this? sure some of us have spreadsheets already outlining how many people in our family get x amount of dollars, how much goes to charity (quite a bit on my part) and how much goes into trust etc. do you wait a few months, let the hype cool down? do you claim anonymous? do you open a trust, hire a lawyer to claim for you? whats your first purchase? me personally.... i let the hype die down a few weeks at least. put the ticket in safe deposit box.

Grocer, couple cash in on lottery
Who says it's bad luck to be superstitious? Not Woon-Sook Chon of Flushing. The Korean-born owner of the Flushing-based Cherry Blossom food store stopped in at the Union Deli Grocery on 38th Street to buy a Korean newspaper and walked out not only with her paper, but also a $500,000,000 Extravaganza instant Lottery ticket worth $5 million. My niece told me of a dream she had the night before, said Chon, 49. In this dream, I was rich, she continued. I decided it was a good day to try my lu

A 48-year-old small businessman from Newcastle, NSW [Australia], has waited six months for the right psychological moment to claim a $2 million (US$1.65 million) Lotto prize won in January. I'm a bit of a crazy sort of bloke. I had the winning ticket in a tin in a safe spot so there was no rush, the winner told stunned NSW Lotteries officials today. I actually thought about leaving it another couple of months. There was something about claiming that much money that I wasn't ready for, I

Warning about "Free Lottery" sites
There are free lotto games and there are sites calling themselves that, but are something else. There is a free lotto forum where members rate these sites, I won't post the link here. Suffice to say they are not all bad in the view of their regular players. Be aware, almost every business and charity sells their mailing (sucker) list. The list can be worth more then their donations/sales. It doesn't matter whether you returned the item or the check bounced, the name remains on the

Lottery winner donates $3M jackpot to church
A Long Island, N.Y., congregation was praying for pennies from heaven to help expand their church, but instead they were showered with millions. A parishioner who wants to remain anonymous donated his $3 million winning Ba Da Bling scratch-off lottery ticket to The True North Community Church in Port Jefferson. The donation came as a complete surprise to Pastor Bert Crabbe, though he told the congregation the church was facing financial problems because it was growing so fast. Our cong
