This is the largest jackpot increase in this run and is mainly due to an increase in interest rates. No, according to the worksheet on the TX lottery website it's the 4th largest of the 7 increases since the jackpot was fully funded on 4/28. The worksheet says the largest increase was $8.9 million on 5/8. Here are the actual increase in (millions of) real dollars that the worksheet says they'll give you when you claim the prize: 5.6 6.7 6.7 8.9 8.6 8.5 8.1

The estimated Powerball jackpot for the July 22 draw, the first draw that includes UK players, increased by a cash value of $10.2 million. The previous jackpot increase was $8 million. The next estimated jackpot increase for the July 25 draw is $14.6 million. They are definitely expecting a significant boost to sales based on including UK players. The Powerball jackpot also may reverse the trend and start increasing at a faster rate than the Mega Millions jackpot.
