My Made-Up State's Lottery
Quote: Originally posted by CASH Only on December 6, 2004You think the Hoosier Lottery is corrupt? What about Mass NY with their annuity-only games?1. Only offering annuity-only games isn't corruption. It's just bad business sense.2. New York Lotto offers a Cash Option. So I don't know what game you're talking about.

What is reasonable
he plays in indiana...whose lottery is under a lot of scrutiny right now for corruption.he lives in a state where there are never hardly any pick 4 winners, maybe one every few days and the payouts on that game are 5 to 6 thousand a day and the numbers aren't adding up right because even in a small state the payouts and winners should be way higher than they have been in indiana.the state already has a scratch off scam being investigated among other things.....in my opinion where there is smoke t

My Made-Up State's Lottery
JimmySand9:What a wonderful and novel idea! Given the corruption that permeates the Hoosier Lottery, it should have occurred to me to start my own.Now that the election is over, our lottery director is looking for a new position. I can't think of a better place than New Kidcon to put him to work.Would you consider his resume? I mean, you'll need someone to sweep the floors and clean the toilets, and you won't find another man more qualified for the job.Regardless of your decision, keep up the go

infant to draw numbers in daily game?
That gem was posted by enterceptorr in the thread, State thats most likely rigged. Since we have yet another duplicate thread, I'll post my concerns here as well:What happens when the baby's parents, or an uncle or some other relative, holds the only winning ticket?I'll tell you what happens: Suddenly, that lottery drawing is no longer pure. It has been tainted with corruption, and the infant is obviously in on the scheme, and should be arrested, cuffed and flogged.

Informant reported lottery scam
Quote: Originally posted by fja on November 10, 2004I hope all the lottery states start keeping a closer eye on this kind of stuff....It will definitley ruin all games if there is wide spread corruption...Yes, I too have one eyebrow raised. When both my eyebrows are raised I will stop playing altogether LOL.

Can Lotto be cheated?
I don't know guys, how could they manage that, too many factors! Plus the word would get out from ex-lottery employees and State Officials...But I guess you never know, where there is money usually corruption is not far behind!

will computers prevail............
we need to fight fire with fire, maybe if the media got involved and this thing got a little publicity it would be the spark that is needed to get the ball rolling against computerized drawings,i see the perfect opportunity right now with the indiana situation because it smells of corruption..........

Lottery RIGGING !!
Quote: Originally posted by enterceptorr on November 18, 2004i believe this thread may be the beginning of a change in the corruption and may cause people to begin winning more money once this type of info makes it around a few cornerzWow, i never thought of that. I wonder if they actually would let more people win if they knew more players were skeptical of possible rigging. It makes sense that they would

interesting stats
RJOh: Or, corruption can lead to zero winners, if the state was trying to keep ALL the money (no payouts).LosingJeff, you made a really good point, and I think it's a great comparison with the SC Lottery. This is very odd indeed.

Lottery RIGGING !!
Yea the information may be cool. But unless you work for a retailer. Your not going to be able to walk into the store and ask the owner what the payout information on his scratch books are. There's all kinds of corruption and nobody said that the lottery cant be rigged. If a retailer has privileged information and gets caught selling whole books of potentially large jackpot winners then he/she might end up in some hot water themselves.
