The lottery sent out a very confusing email about this so I called the lottery office. I was told this applied to online wins only....purchased through the app. Anyway, no complaints about full anonymity. Actually Virginia has chipped away at the anonymity over just a few years. Hoping Spamberger does not find a reason to add another new tax and this time for lottery winners. Now that covid is long behind us, hoping the anonymity train picks up again for the other states.

I welcome the idea of being able to purchase your lotteries online. I do, 100% support the idea of not allowing purchases to be made on credit. I don't think anyone should be playing any lottery with borrowed money. It's a recipe for financial ruin and predatory loans.
