Wisconsin Lottery sorts mixup on Badger 5 numbers

Probability of a rollover in PB and MM
Quote: Originally posted by prob987 on April 11, 2004The powerball jackpot has rolled over on 4/10/04 and has now risen to $65 million annuity dollars from 57 milliion annuity dollars. The cash value has increased from $31.4 million to $36.1 million. This implies the lottery is expecting about $14.4 million in sales. The probability of the jackpot rolling over again is 89%. The probability it will have one winner is 11%, two winners, 0.6%, and three winners, 0.3%Good luck!I think there is an

No posts for awhile
No, I do not use any programs. I use Excel and just put in info in by hand. I do have Versabet along with a lot of other programs, but haven't used them!! With this new method you can do it by hand. It is just adding numbers to the previous draw, but no trying to figure out if the numbers will be drawn from the side, or down the middle, etc. It gives you six tickets to play straight. I do use Excel to do it for me..takes much less time and reduces the chance of error.

Neural Networks- Applicable to Lottery?
Interesting stuff so far... Still not exactly sure of what is needed, but apparently it's not an Autoassociative NN... In those, if the pattern presented is recognised, it just echoes the pattern back.I have read some interesting intro articles on 2 closely related A.I. methodologies... Genetic Algorithms and Simulated Annealing (both built into JOONE BTW)... they seem to be better than back propagation because they avoid the local minima trap. This won't be an over-nighter... Combining weight ma

SUMS
Sums are one way to profile a draw after the fact...Sum, odd/even, high/low, vtrac (on pick 3 4)... all operate on data you already have in front of you ,and the only thing they do is give you fewer choices to pick from when making a guess, as even odd/even cannot yet be predicted with anything approaching consistent results. Any of the above abstract transformations of draw history have 2 things often overlooked...1. They must be broken down to get playable numbers, which results in more $$$

Predictions fixes/changes for today
Quote: Originally posted by Todd on February 08, 2004Pick 3 and Pick 4 numbers can now be entered without any kind of spaces or other characters. For example, 123.That doesn't seem to work for me.Maybe I still don't have it down right. If I enter:123, 456I get an error page. But if I enter1 2 34 5 6I'm OK.I'm using someone else's dialup account on a Mac running IE 5. That make a difference? Is it OK to enter123456now?And I second the other member's suggestion to separate out the games. I'm not int

Probability of a rollover in PB and MM
Quote: Originally posted by dvdiva on February 05, 2004 i think the likelyhood of it breaking 200 is far more remote. like 5% at most. although in the unlikely avent that happens it would break 200. It would be interesting if you would post the mathematics by which you come to this 5% number since it seems to disagree with the Poisson distribution calculations that I have described here. My calculations BTW seem perfectly reasonable since the Powerball last year exceeded $300 million in spite

Probability of a rollover in PB and MM
The size of the jackpot increases being the same as they were last time, the probability that the Jackpots of both the MegaMillions and the Powerball rolling over in the next drawings is about the same, 90%. This means that there is only roughly a 10% chance that someone somewhere will win either jackpot, and only a 1 in 100 chance that both jackpots will be won on their next drawings. In my last post in this topic, I made an error. There were not 1.5 million doubly covered possibilities. I
