Quebec man wins $30 million in lottery, says he doesn't want to change
Staying as private as possible is always the best thing, although sometimes it's better to just get it over with as many people have written on this board. I've been interviewed by the press to comment on some issues and not everything I said was printed the way I meant it. From reading this article, it seems as if he was so excited that he just blurted out a lot of different answers for the press. Obviously, if his first plan was to help a Mission in Africa, he has a good heart. He was probabl

Lottery winners question Calif. Mega Millions prizes
I agree that yes ... I would not complain about taking home $178,750 , But I do see the point. It isnt fair when it comes down to it that there is such a difference regardless of what state has more players or not. I think that it should be the same all over, but again I WOULD NOT COMPLAIN. Hell I just said this morning give me 100 thou and I would be smiling from ear to ear lol. But like the article said ... what can ya do .. NADDA Good Luck tonight on the MM

Florida lottery winners indicted on tax charge
These people did practically every thing wrong after winning the lottery. They didn't try and invest the money. Didn't have a plan to reduce the tax bit on there jackpot after the win. And they according to another article I read sold the rest of their annuity payments to a company for a lump sum payment. SO they have likely lost most of their winnings my guess if they still have enough to pay off the govenment for their taxes and their lawyers they will be flat BROKE. I say if you win a smal

Man claims Powerball lottery prize just before it was due to expire
It agree with justxploring. I don t see how people can forget to check their ticket; you buy them for a reason. Even if the lotto is at the bottom of their list there is still no reason. I forget stuff too like: I rarely dry clean but sometimes I need to remove a spot or something from pants. I have other pants so those pants are not that important, if I get busy I m going to forget to pick them up for a few days. If it takes 90 days and a newspaper article saying Customer left pants at dry cl

Multiple jackpot wins question?
I know the possibility and probability of winning both jackpots even months or years apart is probably 1 in a billion. But a lifetime of weird coincidences says there always a chance there's always that last card in the deck when you have the best cards that comes off and gives your opponent the win. I know it's unlikly and I'd probably be so busy with travel and charity once I won one jackpot that I probably wouldn't play as much. But I'd still play, buying a ticket when I felt like it or

N.C. Ministers resigned to lottery, but wary
Faith leaders should monitor how the lottery develops, he said. They should watch to make sure the state doesn't target the poor with advertising. Congregations should develop programs to educate people about the dangers of gambling and addictive behavior. Leaders of congregations should keep a close eye out for fellow members who might be buying too many tickets.
I hate to admit this on a lottery board but, although I don't agree with everything in this article, I do agree with the above s
