Wyoming lottery bill killed once again
Wyoming's lottery probably would be best by copying ND and joining Powerball and only selling their games. The state is really too small for an in-state game.
UNLESS, they'd like to consider my Pick 5/25 proposal.

New NY Lotto 59 in March-will it still be a ripoff?
I took a closer look at the expected prize amounts for Blotto Extra (I saw them in the same article before but was in a hurry.) The 5/6 and 4/6 (neither with bonus ball) will pay exactly double with Blotto Extra than without, meaning the NY Blotto/Blotto Extra payout will continue to be 40%.
And now I read in today's (2/1) Journal News (White Plains, NY) that there is a proposal to reduce scratch prizes from 65% to 40% and Quick Draw from 60% to 40%. Do these lawmakers ever buy tickets?

Frist continues crusade against Internet gambling
Also read there is a 1961 (believe that's the year) ban on gambling across state lines they're hoping to get clarified by this legislation.
On the bright side once clarified and put into place perhaps online ticket purchases within state will become possible. Georgia has such a proposal but has been tabled for a couple of years.

Don’t turn the voting process into a lottery
To paraphrase Forrest Gump: Voting is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get. Arizona's proposal is only formalizing the gamble we take every time we enter the voting booth. Lord knows all of us have voted for losers over the years. Kinky Friedman for Governor! Why the Hell Not!!

interest groups lining up to lobby on web gambling
WASHINGTON, July 3 While Internet gamblers lay down big money on World Cup soccer this summer, teams of lobbyists are facing off on Capitol Hill in a contest over whether the United States should choke off the growth of wagering on the Web.

online poll....will H.R. 411 become law?
My, oh my. How you have drifted from the subject of this thread. From playing lotto offshore to cigarette sales. Must have a lot of smokers on the Lotto Post. The lottery sales proposal may pass, but it is unenforcable. An unenforcable law is not a law at all. It is window dressing.
