Thanks, Blackie. I usually play the top three Tiers 50/50. Today I did that insane backscheck workup and played those numbers instead. Applesauce! That's not the worst of it. The worst of it, that I just looked back over my work and discovered that I made an editing error and put in the date numbers from yesterday instead of today. When I put the correct date numbers in, 123 works out to be a Tier 2 number rather than a Tier 3 number and that's what I expected since yesterday's winner was a T

I am not having any issues with my data files. it works for me just fine here. Well Gambler67 the only thing i can say is make sure you have your file setup the same way it is shown in the instructions, you must have it formatted exactly as shown there otherwise the program will not read it correctly. Another note also make sure your data is atleast 30 lines long or better to prevent error message. i used 3 months worth minimum myself for my data which was 77 lines. Hey Winsum you want to

That figure was for the past TWO years--I apologize for the error. I suspected something was off when I did my 980/tickets sold calculation to see the empirical odds. In that case it would be 980 winners out of 4.45 billion tickets sold.

Got information from the powerball website faq section. Just checked it again-There were also 980 Match 5 winners (prizes of $1 million or $2 million). New Powerball has created 1,014 millionaires in its first two years. In total, New Powerball sold $11.2 billion. Half of that was paid out in prizes. That figure was for the past TWO years--I apologize for the error. That's an average of 490 per year. For February 2015 there have been 71 winners.
