They can think that all of those folks who play scratchers are dumb if they want to. I know people who actually study those things and WIN most of the time. They don't play numbers and they don't play the scratchers everyday. I tried once to see how a couple was doing it but they tend to keep that information very, very secret. They used to do the same thing with pull tabs. The people who make these games are making a big mistake..just because you are poor, that does not mean you are stupid.

It mainly comes down to what you feel comfortable doing. There are many systems you can use that will give you 20 numbers but they won't hit everyday. Some systems go cold for a while and then get hot. That's the same way numbers are, if you study the patterns you will notice some numbers go cold and some get hot. Hot and cold is an excellent method, pair tracking is an excellent method, setting up filters is an excellent method. There are many ways to win and many different ways to get there

jwhou, When you say, two tickets with exactly the same numbers have half the chance of two tickets with different numbers, two tickets that share three numbers have one less chance at a three number win, you're forgetting that when these tickets do win, the holders are rewarded with multiple payoffs. Regardless, this doesn't detract from their observation of the effects of the Illusion of Control. And I don't think this was an issue in the study. --Jimmy4164
