The price increase is crazy. My 5 lines cost me $10 today will be $25 dollars a draw post change. Either people will spend more (doubt it) or less which means less combinations sold per draw which means longer times between draws and larger jackpots. I think we will see 2-3 wins per year but $2+billion

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Hey Cape. Congrats on the $50 ticket wins. I've been very disappointed with the lack of creativity in the $50 ticket game design. I suspect the lotto may have decreased the $1M wins to increase the odds at the $500 prize.

Quick Pic Tickets
Are you saying to buy quick picks in the ghetto (because they are losing numbers) then buy some more tickets NOT using the same numbers on the quick picks---and that will increase your odds of winning? How many tickets would you have to buy (using your method) to get a winner?

California man says he's waited nine weeks for $44 million Powerball lottery jackpot payout
Isn't it about 99 44/100th% sure when they take that picture of you with the big check when you first go in to claim it that you won. There may be some child support taken out or something or back taxes. I get you don't actually get the money that day but most have a bank account and if you asked nicely for an extended line of credit or a major overdraft increase I would think they would oblige or risking losing you as a customer.

Mega Millions confirms ticket price increase to $5, other changes coming April 2025
Pre-pandemic the starting pot was at 40 million, a decrease took place lowering the starting pot amount to 20 million due to low sales and the cost was $2 with the option to multiply for a $1 more. It wasn't suppose to remain at 20 million. Now the pot will start at 50 million with a cost of $5, that's a drastic increase I think.

Yes, so can afford this system and why is the amount changing, do t they make enough money. It's not needed and we don't want price increase change the odds of winning though, cause I rarely win with ten tickets.

Mega Millions confirms ticket price increase to $5, other changes coming April 2025
I'm curious what type of people will still play after the price increase. Deep pocketed players who buy thousands of dollars' worth of tickets, huge lottery pools buying hundreds or thousands of dollars' worth of tickets, and gambling addicts probably won't change their habits much. But it appears they are going to lose most of the casual players. For a while a lot of the lottery advertising in my state was trying to tap into that casual player market, now it looks like lotteries are pivoting ba
