Biggest letdown in lottery history - what's yours?
I agree. Publix does seem to have a lot of big winners on the states lottery's website. There was a time once where I put a bookmark on Google Earth for the big winners of the scratch-offs all over the state: the amount, the store, city, etc. I should resume that practice, along with recording my wins and losses on an Excel spreadsheet, with a page for each ticket (at least the ones I played a lot). Some gas stations are pretty good, while others suck. I have a very strong feeling that clerks

POLL - Will You Buy $2 Lottery Tickets?
Hi Ridge, When I play the big games, then I play for $2. There's too much to lose, imho, without taking the Powerplay or Megaplier. The chances of winning are remote, but I still think it's possible or I wouldn't be playing. So I want to be covered if I am blessed with some kind of win, even if it isn't the jackpot. In Todd's article yesterday about Powerball it says; Even though there were no jackpot winners, 13 lucky tickets matched the first five numbers for a $200,000 second-place pri

Mass. Lottery game very profitable for those who know how and when to play
RJOh Random tickets overall would conform to the odds of the game. If the prize payout was less then the tickets needed to win then they take a big gamble. Playing at that level is something I can't afford to do and if I could afford it then I would not play. In the article they mentioned a 5 of 6 could win $100,000.00 and that would mean that it was very safe but I still think some sort of system or wheel would needed to ensure a certain amount of coverage. If the payouts were

A Wheel Question...
If you investigated Don Catlin a little further you would learn that, among other things, he IS a consultant. Pumpi had a question about a pick-4 wheel and you're off on a tangent and want to debate the credibility of a gaming writer. Even if Steve Wynn couldn't go to the bathroom without consulting with Catlin, his opinions are useless to the question. Are you implying that the casino industry makes its money using math principals that disagree with Catlin's? Catlin's writes articl

A Wheel Question...
This is hilarious! When Ion Saliu had his bogus stuff deleted at Wikipedia he bemoaned his plight. Here is what one of the gatekeepers said in reply: (Some LP people call the gatekeepers Lottery Nazis!) Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a place to post your own theories. See Wikipedia:No original research. andy 19:18, 20 June 2006 (UTC) I've run into this issue before where my mathematical contributions were deleted, so I empathize with you somewhat. Please try getting correct references

Win with Magic ( numbers and more)
Here is the third and final article on pendulums and dowsing. I attempted to lift many more charts from the Internet and my computer got jammed with unwanted stuff. What I'm posting is a decent representation of what is out there. The key is that you can design your own chart to meet your specific need. Keep creating and testing until you find something that resonates with you. You will know it, when you FEEL it! Have confidence in what is revealed to you. The more that you use this system of co

Atheist converts after mock prayer to win $1M lottery is answered
Only in your mind are you convinced that there is no system. The owner of the dog racing method has proven himself publicly to the world as the best in the business. He even has a place in a Las Vegas casino that recognizes his achievments. Greyhound magazine's editor folloed him around for weeks and he proved to him 3 different times that he made hundreds of thousands before the eitor would print an article about him. The only reason I stopped using the system was that it takes a 3 year lear

Atheist converts after mock prayer to win $1M lottery is answered
My-my. So much contention and strife over a news article, a story. Maybe it is a story, follow the money. A well known unbeliever and one who is in his mother s face about it, gets religion after his mother wins a million. All of a sudden he wants to express his involvement in the miracle . Look who is getting the glory and is making the news. It sounds so sincere, so good, so heartwarming and all from a goat. He should sell used cars or insurance. Is this not the most unbelievable testimo

$2M Michigan lottery winner defends use of food stamps
Hang in there Sully!Dont give up! It sounds like, from the end of the video article, that there will be a follow up (if there hasnt been already). I'd love to hear that response (from the State that is). I see what people mean that Fick isnt breaking the law. But he knows ethically it is not right. And from what sully describes...well I am not surprised. And I am sure it happens in every single state. It truly pisses me off especially when I sit and think that I have graduated f

The person who missed out on being part of the Albany 7 should not feel bad
It sounds like the Albany 7 would have won regardless of whether he decided to talk to the person cutting in line. Here is the picture that I am getting from this article. Ticket 1 - bought by cutter Ticket 2 - next ticket - WINNER! Ticket 3 Ticket 4 Ticket 5 Ticket 6 Ticket 7 - would have been last ticket purchased by Albany 7 if the person had not cut. Ticket 8 - last ticket purchased by Albany 7. In this diagram, Albany 7 would have gotten the winner - Ticket #2 -
