Lottery bill scheduled for early hearing in Alabama Legislature
A proposal by some Republican lawmakers to allow a statewide vote on a lottery is scheduled for discussion in a public hearing on Wednesday.
The Economic Development and Tourism Committee in the House of Representatives plans to hold the hearing at 1 p.m. in room 410 at the State House.
The bill, by Rep. Alan Harper, R-Northport, does not specify how lottery proceeds would be used if the voters approved the constitutional amendment.
The Legislature would have to decide that later.

Monopoly Millionaires game
For whatever reason my original poll/MMC topic was closed, so I am posting an update here. This information was released today and only proposed 2 days ago, so it is literally the latest. It's not much different than what I expected.....basically the lotteries are focused on reducing the prize liability.
So far this tentative proposal consists of:
Starting jackpot at $5 million annuity Starting Club prizes at 1 and rolling based on sales Alternatively (and/or), reduce the amounts on fixed

Powerball Matrix Change - April 15, 2015
They're actually decreasing the portion of sales that go towards the jackpot, so I doubt it will increase that much. This is why I think it is staying the same. They have to be able to fund the jackpot and setting minimum starting/rollover points higher increases the liability during low-jackpot cycles.
I have heard from yet another lottery that the Power Up is a completely separate drawing, similar to the second drawing in Monopoly, which would use your numbers from the primary drawing. Yes,

Ireland National Lottery to be sold for €405M
An Post and the operators of the UK National Lottery are in line for a 405m (US$551.6 million) buyout of the Ireland National Lottery after Public Expenditure Minister said the consortium was the preferred applicant.
Brendan Howlin said the bid by Premier Lotteries Ireland, a consortium consisting of An Post and its pension funds and the Camelot group who operate the UK lottery, had met the Essential Requirements and has submitted the highest License Fee proposal .

Would You Still Post Here If . . .
rdgrnr,
Illinois is a blue state because of Chicago and Cook County. The rest of the state isn't like that except for university towns. But the politicians know that Cook County is all they need to win state elections.
BobP,
So this would only apply to Illinois residents? How would that work? This sounds borderline like China.
This would also seem to hint that the next step would be onlye-mail addresses of first initial and last name, which is considered a security no no unless it's

Could We Use Another Big Game Lottery??
One lottery is not able to please all people. Were all diverse, and have different expectations of what is more important to us.
I suggested a third national lottery game to fill that void. There are millions who would be willing to invest a couple of bucks a week, for the chance
at winning significantly larger lower tier prizes. Ex. perhaps as many as twenty $1 million prizes up for grabs every week.
Maybe this type of lottery would not be for those that are just chasing the huge

Can It Be Done??
First off I would not rush into an immediate judgement without knowing all pertinent facts. Much too often, people react with their emotions,
rather than their intellect and calm reasoning. You might say I'm one of those that see the glass of water half full, not half empty.
This topic was not intended to be inflammatory in nature, but rather a peek into a possibility that would inspire intrigue and wonder, about how
far our prediction skills could push the envelope. Steve Player i

Quaker Oats workers claim $241 million Powerball jackpot
Truthfully I don't think the lawyer(s) will succeed against the state. This would set a huge precedent for all other states which currently require public
disclosure of identity. To win a case like this, would be a landmark change in the present state statute lottery laws.
As far as fees, hopefully the shipping twenty were insightful enough to require a proposal from the law firm, which should also require a cap, to
prevent exorbitant expenses and greedy last minute surcharges. In
