New Jersey Adding Midday Drawings!Reply
Todd: Most lotteries with Pick 3/4 double drawings have midday draws 6 days/week. Nearby CT has no midday drawings Saturday. The new lottery terminals in NY, installed this past spring and summer (to my knowledge the statewide conversion was complete before 9/11) have a DAY/NIGHT button that is useless for now. Don't know if Powerball has priority over introducing midday 3/4 drawings.

NY joining Powerball would be terrific!Reply
A store owner in Greenwich, CT, put up a sign urging NY Gov Pataki to allow Powerball in NY. I'm guessing the MUSL members would welcome the large population of NY into Powerball. NJ has no veto power over NY joining Powerball since NJ has the Big Game. The only hurdle I see preventing NY joining Powerball is a lawsuit, most likely from someone (within NY) morally opposed to an expansion of the NY Lottery. If all goes well, expect NY to sell Powerball tickets bt spring 2002.
