System for Lottery Workout Lovers
Not the first time I've misunderstood something in the forums. And probably not the last time either. I just had them in the wrong order, which means I'll need to go back through the backtesting with that in mind and see what correlations I can find between different systems. Thanks for explaining it.

Pick 3 Forecast (Multiple States) 10th Edition
This is raw, uncut doing of the supposedly impossible, which is predicting the lottery. It's far from easy. A high majority who start predicting will give up once they realize the amount of long daily/weekly/monthly/years of tedious work, coupled with extreme patience and self discipline that is involved. But not you. You are a relentless beast who shall not be denied the life you know you deserve. Predicting is a lifestyle of constantly developing yourself to outperform yesterday and build a b

Pick 3 Forecast (Multiple States) 10th Edition
Predicting what's coming is great, however, I don't play until it passes the pretest. I posted 5 forecast today and they all did not pass the pretest. I can keep the pretest where it is or I can do what I'm about to do for tomorrow's forecast which is lower the amount of pretest for each strategy by two drawings. Pretesting helps to find that winning sweet spot. You don't want to start too early and if you start too late you may very rarely pass the pretest. I usually start playing two drawings

Weekly Combos for All States... Forever
Ok let's do a live test in Texas for 7/19 - 7/20. After doing more backtesting I now expect to win at least once within 8 drawings instead of 7. 62 Single Any Order combos (no dubs, no trips) 158 159 178 179 189 589 789 034 036 046 234 236 246 346 134 135 137 145 147 345 347 068 069 089 268 269 289 689 456 458 467 468 478 568 678 013 019 039 123 129 139 239 012 014 018 024 028 048 124 128 148 248 356 357 359 367 369 379 567 569 579 679

Weekly Combos for All States... Forever
This is the results of a strategy I created. So far it wins twice within 7 drawings 100% of the time. More backtesting is needed so let me know how it goes in your state. 62 Single combos (no dubs, no trips) 158 159 178 179 189 589 789 034 036 046 234 236 246 346 134 135 137 145 147 345 347 068 069 089 268 269 289 689 456 458 467 468 478 568 678 013 019 039 123 129 139 239 012 014 018 024 028 048 124 128 148 248 356 357 359 367 369 379 567 569 579 679

My Method: A linear congruential generator picker
OK, I figured out the big number thing and I was able to test ALL the parameters in common use listed at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linear_congruential_generator#Parameters_in_common_use. Assuming a window of 1 draw (i.e. the previous draw is used as the seed and we extrapolate forward for 1 draw), and further assuming we limit play to only +/- 10 from the number the LCG spits out (21 picks total), 2 years of backtesting for Connecticut's Pick 3 yields the ROIs listed below. Item 2 (m = 2^32,

My Method: A linear congruential generator picker
Adobea78, I've been working an Excel VBA Macro to do some backtesting for Pick 3 along your line of thinking. I'm using LCG numbers from a list of Parameters In Common Use I found on Wikipedia (m = 134456, a = 8121, and c = 28411), using the previous draw as the seed, and testing different draw history windows. For example, my testing of a 7 draw window goes something like this: Where Draw #1 is the draw I'm trying to predict, Draws #2 through #8 are the 7 draws of history I'm using, and Draw

I did mention that backtesting may not be working as it should. After I choose a system and note the prediction , the prediction won't corresponds to the backtest result. Try to take out the last draw and do a prediction with the same system you will notice something is not correct. I wonder if anyone noticed that.

I noticed that after you train the model and save it and get the predictions, if you remove some data entries then you are not getting same set of numbers that are predicted . In other words backtesting dosent seems to be working as it should. Am I missing something ?
