New interim CEO named at CT Lottery
A day after Frank Farricker resigned as Connecticut Lottery Corp. board chairman and interim CEO, the lottery's governing board named a new temporary chief executive to serve until a permanent president/CEO is hired in a month or two at the end of a national search that's now in progress. At a meeting Tuesday afternoon in lottery headquarters, the board appointed Chelsea Turner, the lottery's chief of strategy and government and operational affairs, to replace Farricker, until a committee of

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
In addition to change of ownership and businesses shutting down resulting in ticket destruction this also happens when: Retailers give the rest of an active book back to their rep for credit, the rep offers (potentially acting like the retailer doesn't have a choice) to take back part of an active roll, theft (fire, water damage, etc), all can cause tickets to be destroyed without accounting for them. The reasons a retailer may push back part of an active book can be crappy sales, need more room

Lottery Winners
Excellent summation max! I admire your ethics, and sincere desire to help others in obvious need. On another note, was just kidding about leaving alarm clocks on a big winners porch.

Store owner tried to scam woman out of lottery winnings
Sadly, this is the lesson that has been taught to us by bussness owners all across the United States : It's o.k. to try and screw someone out of money that is rightfully theirs. Big corporations do it on a daily basis. Greed is the new supply and demand mantra for business. Lying and cheating is the new code of ethics. Overcharge the bejeezus out of your customer is the new mission statement. We must all stop and give thanks to our government for setting the standard of business philosophy in th

Are pre-draws corrupting your lottery strategy ?
The fact of the matter is that there is no pick3 software out there that can crack the system and if there were people like paurths would be keeping it a secret and making tons of money for himself instead of getting gullible uneducated people to buy it .....preying off of peoples weakness and addiction still strikes me as dishonourable, however when it comes to money people who lack ethics will soon appear in droves no matter what the cause may be. its a known fact that pre-draws corrupt data

What is a lottery system? What distinguishes a lottery system from guesses, dreams and quick picks?
right now, my position is solidly in the lead, which grants me a larger slice of the pie in the ethics race in this thread. why is that statement true, if it is at all? because i am still the only one who is willing to put my hypothesis where his ethics are. everyone else steps up to the plate, ignores the scouting reports, and see's the pitcher really has a 105 mile an hour accurate fastball, then turns and heads for the dugout while telling their teamates.... no YOU step in that batte

How do I prove my state lottery's CGNs are fixed?
Hi, 1- How about first proving the Null Hypothesis: that they are not fixed? Can you sooner prove (mathematically) that they are not fixed? If you cannot, then you have proven that they are indeed fixed . 2- I can give you a non-mathematical way: find an ethical way to examine the software packages of states who purchase these. I believe you would probably discover that states with computerized lotteries use super computers to run software that can run a set of pre-determined combinations

7-7-7 was a lucky day!!
No point in arguing about this. I guess I am foolish to think there are ethics in gambling. Buying extra tickets before the game is closed and speculating that customers will buy them later is gambling too.

Why don't WAWA stores sell lottery tickets?
What if I were to tell some of ya folks that there are actually companies that survive by maintaining a regional philosophy that gaming goes against their corporate values. Wawa's happens to be one of them. They do not contribute to the gambling community and are advocates to remain clear of such a label. Just as McDonalds will never sell alcohol or get a liquor license simply to draw in more customers. Its a business ethics decisions and one that hasnt hindered their overall sales. Each compa
