The Pick 3 draws are updated through Saturday, July 6, 2019 Use the same links to the zip files above. I updated the Step2 Excel file and added calculations to create more Pick 3 sets. Does anybody have an excel formula for checking pick 3 numbers to see if they are boxed? Racking my brain and cant come up with a formula thanks

Thank you so much, WinSum. This worked beautifully. I did have to play around with the dates in the EXCEL file, because I have a newer version of EXCEL, and also because apparently there was a date bug in at least 1 of the earlier EXCEL versions. But once I massaged the date, and figured out what to copy and past into text file (the alignment was also a bit different), then I was good to go. I appreciate you taking the time to post this for me - this will sure save me a lot of programming effort

Looking for Excel Formula or Function That Counts Characters in a Text String
The Goal is to Identify the Type of Box in a Pick 4 Draw without having to form a Giant Table. I am hoping that Excel has a function that this does without the Need for a Very Long formula using Counts and Positions. Thanks

From what I see AllenB, your excel file and my program both create a grid. The only difference I see is that your excel creates 3 grids where my creates 1. I'm not sure what else your excel file is doing, but if you give me a step by step, I can probably add it to my program. I am in the process of adding a procedure for reading a drawing data file in order to make things a bit easier.
