3-digit lottery
Destiny,That request is so customized that I don't think it would be included as a feature anywhere. It is rare to have a web site that shows Pick 3 results for all states on one page, let alone showing your particular situation. Plus, to show results for all states for a large segment of history on one page is an awful large amount of data on a single page.I think you're going to have to piece the info together yourself in Excel. Use the Custom Lottery Results feature on Lottery Post:View al

Matrix for Pick3
If I recall the original post correctly, you are supposed to eliminate duplicates... resulting in fewer overall combos. I try to avoid boxes, even if you win you still missed the straight... in PA that's $80 for a $1 box vs. $500 for a $1 straight... of course you could always play .50/.50 and have the same $1 catch $250/$40... but to fully back-test a system you need to be open to ALL possibilities. I might just have an excel rundown that could work...I might just put this on the growing to do

Neural Networks- Applicable to Lottery?
I never had to get past backtesting with this... I kept detailed records, and the numbers picked were almost identical to the excel forecast function, no better, no worse... time to throw NN's on the back burner... but I must say, RAPID development is one very cool plus of the Java based JOONE engine ;-)Data Mining... Neural network based classification has failed on several automated attempts, using both my own modified formulas (on open source excel VBA programs) and using several demo version

Excalibur,I did download the 2.4 but I haven't had a chance to work on it yet. Thanks for all the information, though.Everything I have as far as databases go is in Excel. This program has to be in text formal...........well, excel doesn't have just a regular text format........so I had to figure out a way to do it. I finally did it copy and pasting it to notepad. So that is where I left it for now. Been busy with other things this week. I am trying to set up an Excel program for the vtracs.

What a program needs to be good ...
Well for those that are wondering if it is wiser to use Access DB than Excel. You have way more flexable use of Access than Excel but a lot more code writting. The advantage of using Access though is that you can design your calculation without changing original orders of any of the data and create sepparate data to be analyzed later.Access has a bigger open use for VB instruction than Excel and therefore will give you more, but like I said you would have to get into programming domains that you

But of course the sum of 17 in cell D1 and the root sum in E1 would change with each draw. Now I think you need to do a substring on the 1 and the 7 but I keep getting a Name2 error code. I just can't seem to get the formula right.I would like one of you wonderful excel experts t
