I invested in the new quick pick lottery jackpot game in PA for $20. The drawing is 7/4...only 650,000 tickets will be sold with three top prizes of 1 million dollars. 1,000 other cash prizes will be awarded. I have a little over a month to daydream.

I haven't won anything from Powerball since last November, but I still keep playing, but only one ticket per draw regardless of jackpot size because it takes only one to win. Why spend $2 on the same dream you can have for just $1? However, I now play the same quick pick for three draws at a time.

I met a fellow in Atl who said he got 0000 on a quick pick this month and someone else posted here that they got 7777 on a quickpick. You know when quick picks start throwing out triples then a triple is usally on the way. I got 444 in a quickpick about 2 weeks before it fell. Maybe best to play them all at least .50.

Forgot to add Keno in states where it is offered. However, I usually only play when I'm at a bar that has it and usually will play a 4-spot quick pick 5 times. Typically one at least wins their money back that way. I have played it in NY, MD, DC, and WV.

I hear the numbers from LOST are the second most played combination in the UK 6/49, that must have something to do with why jackpots take so long to be hit sometimes. The rollover creates more LOST number players, not just more unique combinations played. I wonder if every combination is ever played, I doubt it. Of course the lottery could always make a Quick Pick program that chews through every combination before giving out the same combination twice, just isn't good for business. BobP

Buying quick picks or picking your own numbers doesn't change your odds of winning. People read the odds of winning and think they don't apply to them and that is foolish. I prefer to pick my own numbers because I foolishly think I can improve my odds of winning and it's entertaining for me. Winning with a QP wouldn't feel as good as winning with my own numbers, but I would appreciate it just as much.
