Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
I forgot to look at the Measly Millions after the rollover on Tuesday.......
1st 10 rollovers at $10M, the next 3 at $16M, then 2 at $18M, then 1 at $19M, then 1 at $24M, then 1 at $25M and the last at $34M. At least the rollovers are increasing at different levels. Good luck to all that are contributing to that game
Powerball for Saturday is looking nice !!!! Good luck to all of us that are participating.

It's mind-boggling how many people are willing to subsidize somebody who has 50, 100, 1000 or 100,000 times as much money as they do.
Idaho uses lottery proceeds for schools. I already pay my fair share when I pay my property taxes. On top of that, I pay 10X that amount to the lottery each year. My state taxes have been overpaid for 30 years now.
I'd be happy to pay full tax on Saturday's Powerball jackpot, but I would love it if the state didn't collect tax on lottery wins until the ca

That means it's diffrent. Reguardless if they automatically add something.
Here's an experiment that should be extremely easy if you're really in Baltimore. Walk or drive the short distance to a convenience store, walk in, and say, Good day, Sir/Madam. I'd like to purchase one Powerball ticket with Power Play . Then you can get back to us and let us know if the cost is different than buying a ticket in Idaho. If it is you can boast about being right every day for a year. If it's not the bes

The state taxes should be the same... LOL
An Idaho Powerball ticket is not priced differently. For $3, you get one line with Powerplay. It is exactly the same price as one line with Powerplay anywhere else.
What makes Idaho different is not the price, but the lack of a $2 ticket no Powerplay.
State taxes should be the same in every state ... I'm still cracking up at that one!

Is anything you don't understand automatically labeled shady ?
Powerball is not priced differently in any participating state. The difference is that in Idaho, the $1 extra for Powerplay is not optional. It's the same $2 base game otherwise.
And yes, different states do have different tax rates. They can do that in this United States of America.

Was looking at Powerball's site and noticed the breakdown of winners and power play winners.
Looks like about 80% of players don't choose the multiplier.
So, MM's goal was to force 80% of the their players to take the Extra $3.00 Multiplier.
Meanwhile, Powerball gets to $1 Billion Plus with $2.00 the Optional $1.00 Multiplier.
