New machines for the new Mega Millions?
JS9,You were talking about a game change requiring a software modification (for the larger number pool), and I said that allowing the machines to have a Quick Pick only on the Mega Ball would require a software change. Two separate things, two separate software changes.

The Math and The Lottery
I have found that I do a better job picking my own numbers using trends that I have learned. I think statistical analysis helps you to that end, but relying on it too much takes your eye off the ball.In my opinion the quick pick algorithms used are slanted to intentionally build the jackpot pool.Jeter Fan

Fla tonight ( Sun)
I hope the 318 comes in since I got it on a quick pick, but I am going to run down and play 758 for FL tonight, since that combo's hit 3 times on 5/29 here.

Thought I had a $400 winner!
Last night I was playing a 3if5/21 which gives me 49 tickets so I get one quick pick to make it an even $50. Last night I had all 5 numbers drawn in my 21.

Newcomer
Trying to come up with a magic wand to win the lotto should at least prove to be entertaining for you. However, I'm convinced that you can do just as well by buying a quick pick. Welcome to the forum.

The Math and The Lottery
I've read several times that two third of lottery winners used quick picks, so it's obvious that most winners don't use any type of analysis at all and do just fine. I have programs that I wrote myself to track lotteries and pick the combinations to play base on that data, but I do that because it makes playing the lotteries and losing my money more entertaining. I matched 5of6 in the Ohio649 lottery two years ago, but I credit that to luck because I haven't done it again and I'm still using my

lost jackpot ticket
It depends. If it's signed.......You'd have to return it because the courts are going to rule that way anyway.(Hopefully get a good reward !)If not signed............I'd keep it.But, a lot depends on if it's a quick pick or (picked) numbers. Also a lot depends on if someone claims he/she lost it !

What are the odds?
I went and bought $10 worth of powerball quick pick tickets for my mother today while she was gone to work. One of the lines had 8-17-22-28-52 and powerball is 16. I always buy the same line of number each time I buy my tickets which is 3-8-17-22-28 and 41. Kinda close huh? Tonight might be our night lol.
