Your lottery probably retains legal council, but doubt they are responsible for the arrest or will represent you if you decide to sue for a number of reasons. Sue the lowlife snitch store clerk for the lost time and emotional distress he/she caused you. Boycott the store. If the snitch was motivated by financial incentives from a police state, sue the police state. If you live in a place that doesn't take a daily dump on your individual rights, then there are probable cause requirements for arrest. Do you really believe someone was taken in for questioning by they police after a store clerk called 911 on them saying they were suspicious because they never seen anyone come into their shop buying so many tickets at once ? In a heartbeat, depending on what somebody's claim that they were taken in for questioning actually means. Any moron (store clerk or otherwise) can call the cops and say they think something is suspicious Yeah, but they said, I was buying $400 worth of Cash-3 lotto tickets but I got arrested for spending that kind of money because they believed that it was drug related. I suppose there are people believing $400 is an extraordinary amount of money, someone might think you're a drug dealer call the cops and they get arrested for carry and/or purchasing items with it, but I'm not that gullible
