18-year-old university student wins $48 million Lotto 6/49 jackpot
For an 18 year old, she has great values and more common sense than much older lottery winners. Hopefully with her story, more lp members will understand why someone wants to keep their career if they win big money.
I have never understood the sentiment of just disappear and spend your winnings.

$1.6 BILLION: Powerball jackpot sets all-time record as ticket sales surge across the USA
Almost impossible odds of it going to $3B. If it's not won tonight, it most certainly won't roll past Monday's $2B Jackpot.
Who would be like the Chinese guy and not tell his family about the big jackpot win? Who would divorce his/her spouse to keep all the money? Ha

Virginia man scoops $1 million in Pick 4 with 200 plays in one drawing
Just a thought ... maybe these people playing that many tickets know how to read the numbers posted by the lottery on the ticket . They buy one and if it looks like a winner they buy several. ( I cringe every time I see an 8 on my ticket )
In any case... congrats to Ali and others who are lucky enough to win big !

North Carolina Lottery winner: "$4 million is not much these days"
He has no clue on how to invest this windfall. Sounds very ungrateful to me; heck let me win $100K post taxes and that money will grow big time.

$366.7 million Powerball jackpot won in Vermont
* The players in NY, FL CA were tired of hearing those States always win so they decided to sit this jackpot out and have a jackpot jump ball to players in other States besides the big 3.
* So great was their generosity that the players in FL CA NY refused to even pick up 2nd prize, they left it all out on the floor for other players. After pouring millions into the PB, they came through big-time for Vermont. Word on the street is that the actor Luis Guzman bagged this one.

Florida lottery winner of $2 million prize credits pregnant dog for win
Man's best friend is a lucky dog
By Kate Northrop
A Florida man who won a $2 million top prize from a scratch-off lottery ticket is giving credit where credit is due his pregnant pet dog.
Leonard Linton, 42, of Pinetta, says that it's thanks to his lovely little pooch, Ivy, that he won a $2 million prize in the Florida Lottery.
Recently while he was out, Linton received a call that his poor dachshund was not feeling well. He took a different route home to get to her as soon as

Arkansas Lottery Natural State Jackpot climbs to record $500,000
Being such a small population, it would be nice to see some Arkansan win the big bucks.
I don't think it would be fair if some hick from a nearby hick state won it though.

North Carolina Veteran "blessed" by $1 million lottery prize from second-chance drawing
I learned something new. Thank you for this explanation. It is most appreciated.
Now I know that WHEN I win my Million dollar prize, I won't be pissed off at Lottery Headquarters and causing a big scene or ruckus knowing my check is about $200,000 lighter than I thought. I'm sure my story would have wound up at USA Mega if I was making an ass of myself. Lol.
