First $25 million scratch-off lottery prize claimed in Massachusetts
I was NOT referring to the national lottery. The statement was about the lottery the state itself runs, not the national powerball megamillions games which the state has nothing to do with it.

First $25 million scratch-off lottery prize claimed in Massachusetts
$50 is nothing compared to Texas who has the $100 scratch off, that top prize is $20M. It looks like the Massachusetts $50 ticket is a better deal with a $25M top prize. I don't see myself buying either but it does give people options. My state just got the $50 scratch off a few months ago.

New York man claims state's biggest Mega Millions prize at $476 million
Some people play the multiplier because if they don't win the jackpot but win any of the smaller prizes it will be multiplied. The multiplier is strictly for the smaller prizes, which is a chance to multiple the prize up to 5X. It has nothing to do with the jackpot prize

Maryland dog groomer wins $2 million in lottery, credits message from late father
Yay good for her albeit the penny had nothing to do with the win. Luckily she chose the winning ticket upon purchasing it. The choice of coin used to reveal the information on the ticket doesn't matter.

Virginia woman wins $50,000 Pick 5 prize on first-ever lottery ticket
I thought there was one a few months ago also. It could be an attention grab to say that. They way she is holding that fake check is a cry out for attention. A social media thing that I fail to get I guess. She's going to get 34k. Nothing to sneeze at but it can go quick. This game is basically a 10.00 pik 4. I'm not running out and trying to get an exact order 5 digit number out of 100,000 possibilities with a 50% takeout.

30 Kentucky middle school employees win $1M Powerball prize, hid lottery ticket in math textbook
Yes, these lottery pools at work should be banned by employers. First off if they win the big one that is the end of your work force. Even if they stay on they will be good for nothing there. Of course the chances of them winning because they pooled tickets is not really improved. Then all the work hours that are wasted by the organizer of the pool collecting the money each week and all the discussion that takes place about it when it gets large although bloom is off the rose on that it seems wi

Ontario Lottery launches a new type of instant ticket
So it's no different than a regular scratcher, and there's nothing new here. No mention of the payout percentage, which is very useful to know. As important as ticket cost

Powerball welcomes 2024 with an $810 million New Year's Day jackpot
That would be the ultimate. Todd I see NJ has Double play, seems to be catching on slowly nationwide. I now play that vs Powerplay because though the top prize is 'only' $1`0 million, I'd be happy with the secondary prize. Though you only get two plays for $3 vs Mega Millions just the jackpot with three chances you get nothing if something were to pop up, say five #'s.
