illegal immigrants poll
I'm figuring they'll figure out how to get the job done. A lot hire professional 'coyotes' to get them across the border and into the interior of the US. Maybe they'll just use a special kind of coyote to cash their winnings, or more likely, a cousin or nephew who's here illegally. I said that in my first post on this thread, that most illegal immigrants have relatives living here. I do agree that they are not any more rowdy than the good 'ol boys. In fact, all the millions of people

Arrested for buy too many Lottery tickets?
Any moron (store clerk or otherwise) can call the cops and say they think something is suspicious Yeah, but they said, I was buying $400 worth of Cash-3 lotto tickets but I got arrested for spending that kind of money because they believed that it was drug related. I suppose there are people believing $400 is an extraordinary amount of money, someone might think you're a drug dealer call the cops and they get arrested for carry and/or purchasing items with it, but I'm not that gullible

Anonymous / Non anonymous states
mikeintexas, Here's another example of government transparency (this pertains to the United States of Nevada , so called because it's known to make some of their own rules and ignore others). As casinos were opening up on the rivers and Indian reservations people applying for those jobs still had to get a work card from the state they were going to. People who had arrest records were sweating it but a few of the old bosses told them Go ahead and apply. If the state you're applying to s

Result of back testing 2 years of non-winning PB tickets
Drenick1, Catching up with the posts in the Discussion Forum recently, I came across your post regarding your back testing experiment. That was a formidable undertaking. Personally, I might have gone into cardiac arrest at the completion of such a revealing review of the lotteries. Fortunately, your life priorities, and maybe your financial situation did not allow you to invest that much time and cash over seven years. Maybe, there would have been some limited tax relief for such a l

Are California 2nd chance entries thrown away eligible to enter?
Found this piece Mike.. Dumpster Diving and the Law We aren t lawyers but this is our best understanding as plain-old US citizens. Dumpster diving is legal in the United States except where prohibited by local regulation. According to a 1988 Supreme Court Ruling (California vs. Greenwood), when a person throws something out, that item is now the public domain. Here is some language from that ruling: It is common knowledge that plastic garbage bags left on or at the side of a public stre

Proposed Buffett Rule and How It Would Apply to Some Lottery Winners Who Invest
Exactly. However reforms definitley need to be made. I would suggest these; 1-mandatory drug testing for anyone collecting benefits. 2-mandatory career training. 3-not being punished for actually TRYING to go to work, example; If your collecting aide and you get a job paying chump change they will completely take you off, instead I believe you should be gradually taken off depending on how much you make. No 1 can support a family on minimum wage. 4-and conversely you should not be re

What is your response if your spouse or significant other claimed a lottery jackpot without you?
You are a strong sista. I gotta admit that if I was in the wife's place half of the money the husband got would be spent on the following medical bills: Proctologist: to remove my booted foot from his butt. Because he would be burping up the taste of shoe leather and toe jam for a long long time. Cardiologist: to keep me out of cardiac arrest everytime I think about how many millions he just handed back to the state. Plastic Surgeon: for the constant botox injections to keep my eyebrows in p

The RNG--nemasis of society
Hi Guy, you can't judge the world based on the tenpercent rule. I have seem your posts, and those of others - you have my sympathy. You are aware of the tenpercent rule right? Ten percent will ot do what the other 90% do. 10% crooks, or 10% honest. Same rule. Hell, NJ is full of every crook you can imagine. They have set a record for politicians in jail and under arrest. You've have to be part of the 10% to believe it hasn't filtered into their lottery organization. It was there before a
