Neural Net Lottery Picker
stoopendaal,
I don't believe that the threshold(stop training) parameter is working. The results average errors as well as last error have exceeded my threshold settings and the program never stops the training process.
Here is an example:
If I set the threshold(stop training) to .68 and the last error is .617846400703044 shouldn't the program stop training? Or maybe I don't understand how the program works?

Nonlinear regression to predict lotteries
Hi,
Finally, the surprising results I told in post#1 was due to an error in my history file. The results were already inserted in the file before prediction, somewhere, 200 drawing ago. That was a programming error. I just disvovered it. It was very easy to predict in that case. Sorry to have given hope in that system, which is however the way to go with others systems as Neural Networks, I think.

CIA and Dept of Defense use math to tell Future!
I honestly don't know what you're talking about Jimmie. Couldn't care less about whether it's a typed error, a copy paste error, computer glitch, whatever. If the link doesn't work and you want to look at what's on the link at the site go to the site and look. If you don't want to see the bulletin don't go look at it.
If you have a problem with the post click the 'Report' button and report it.
I've clicked the plus by your name so's to read your posts all I plan to for a while.

I Always thought an 85% or 90% number reduction would be enough.
Hi,
Even though you may have a high reduction method, the thing to look at is .....what is your percentage of error in using that reduction technique. If you have a 99.99% reduction method with 100% error.....well I think you know what I mean. This is the pitfall of alot of systems being posted at the LP.
Just one persons opinion. *S*

Reduction Methods
Quote: Originally posted by JKING on January 11, 2005Todd, What I'm after here is -What's the most effective way to filter/reduce combinations. Is it by using many or just a few to achieve the amount of reduction your looking for. You are

The Quantum Sums
Afternoon JADELottery,
I've placed your function into my script editor. After several Error messages, I'm down to just 1 Error message now. The line:
Dim NumberFound As Boolean
is in red and displays an Error message of:
(Globals): Rand_SUM: 15: Class or type name not found: BOOLEAN
I did remember to change the Round and Sqr . They both turned blue. Out of 28 Errors when I first placed it, I'm now down to just this 1. I'm using Lotus 123 not Excel.
When you have some time, if

Copy paste error on slide. Exceeded time limit to re-insert corrected image into post. Corrected equations (3) and (7) below. (Had wrong P subscripts.)

My Method: A linear congruential generator picker
Well, looks like the window size is irrelevant, the measured error is nearly the same from small to large windows. Plan to look at a) use of other seeds, and b) other values of m.

Looking for HELP for a PICK 1
It doesnt have to be zero error. But more so an approach to take to create a system that's usable. I am willing to pay to create such a system. Most freelancer sites flag posts about betting and gambling or some just thinknits downright impossible.
