Nearly 68 million US adults plan to wager on Super Bowl
I don't do sports wagering. Glad that somehow this passed last May in Kentucky. Remember a year ago November the TV news interviewed me on my thoughts of the subject. Said it is stupid folks traveling to other states to wager; they're going to do that. Somehow resonates with Alabama not getting a lottery! Looked @ the machine Saturday and months earlier some guy was trying to explain it to me. Guess I'm just dense, it looks like a foreign language to me. Watched a superbowl show from the

Mississippi Lottery passes $2 billion in gross sales
Played their lottery in Biloxi finally. Noticed they just added Double play to Powerball. A letter was mailed to them to compliment on them getting a lottery because they did not rush into it and memory says they thoroughly researched other lotteries before starting. Mentioned before, I think about WDRB interviewing me a year ago November regarding sports betting in Kentucky. I don't do that but mentioned folks will just go to neighboring states to bet. It did not pass, then suddenly it went

$1.76 billion Powerball jackpot won by one ticket sold in California
Kentucky lottery employees are forbidden from playing in KY. Asked IGT after my issue was resolved (in RI) if they can go to Massachusetts to play. She informed me that IGT employees may not play anywhere. Recollection for TV game shows is that family members may not go on the TV shows. Certainly that bodes true today.

$1.55 BILLION: Biggest Mega Millions jackpot ever to be drawn Tuesday
For those who this is offered, is anyone going to do 'Just the Jackpot?' Sometimes I do, but not certain if the IGT machine end of road even has this on the screen. Usually play it @ home, but no money in there to play!! It appears from their answer that Kentucky will cut separate checks for group play annuity win. Kind of surprised me. Will check later to see if they responded to my reply that if it were up to me it would be cash option multi checks cut...but I don't write the rules do

$1 BILLION: Powerball jackpot hits milestone for 3rd time
Nice article as usual Todd Kate. On Paragraph #7 had addressed this before. Kentucky has on-line purchases for MM PB and a slew of other losing propositions. Please fix this! Anyway best of luck LP members on these massive jackpots.

$1.4 BILLION: Powerball jackpot juggernaut keeps rolling
Forgot about Double play since it is not offered here. Had played it in Indiana once for several draws. What I hadn't figured out is there another drawing for double play since I've never seen a drawing nor read about it? I may suggest this to Kentucky Lottery but not really feeling it. Yeah, bring back Yolanda Vega to Florida from NY to do the announcing. Certainly her Statie Hubster has retired from the force by now. Or she could @ least do the Powerball Rockin' NY Eve in Time

New UK National Lottery operator Allwyn will implement online spending limit
restrict the value of one customer's purchase to 50. It's obviously easier to limit the amount of online deposits and sales, but relying of stores to do it is another thing. That's about $62.50 U.S. and that means they can only buy two $30 scratchers daily. IF they want a third ticket, they could go to another stores, clerks could look the other way, or the could buy tickets from a Kiosk. Pretty sure forcing store clerks to monitor their customers' play will have the same benefits as fo

$820 MILLION: Massive Mega Millions drawing set for Tuesday
I think you are being facetious or downright ludicrous in your suggestion for the California lottery. No momentum there to put on the ballot and be done with parimutuel payouts there. Sometimes they do pay out higher for the five numbers...but not always. Look @ the 'paltry' sum the seven players got on the big Powerball payout. Was parimuteul payouts the compromise from their legislature to allow MM PB into their state? Don't think we'll ever know that answer. Maybe they didn't lik

$1.4 BILLION: Powerball jackpot juggernaut keeps rolling
5th-largest lottery jackpot in world history By Todd Northrop Last night, the multi-state Powerball lottery game produced no top winner for the 33rd consecutive drawing, prompting lottery officials to raise the game's jackpot to an astonishing $1.4 billion. A winner who chooses the cash option would receive a lump-sum $643.7 million more than a half-billion dollars in cash! It's the stuff that a lottery player's dreams are made of holding a lottery ticket for an upcoming Powerbal

New Jersey Lottery will begin selling tickets online
I have a huge s--t eating grin reading this just now. Todd Kate...thought of you guys IMMEDIATELY and perhaps all your stories about buying on-line in other states woke them up a bit. That is a myth that brick and mortar stores will suffer. Like I've said for years in Kentucky you can't buy the same type of scratch tickets like in the store, they have totally different ones for that. When other states see how much the consumers LIKE this convenience they may too adopt t
