thoughts on lottery syndicates
A serious lottery pool should have rules and not just a gentleman agreement they should be written in black and white. It's always best to make copies of the tickets before the draws and share them with members so everyone is looking out for the winner. The rule of thumb is if you don't feel comfortable with the processes, you can just bail out and play solo.

First $25 million scratch-off lottery prize claimed in Massachusetts
A state's size will have little impact on how often that state has a lottery winner. What does have an impact is the number of people playing in the state.. (more correctly, the number of tickets sold in the state) NJ may be smaller than Massachusetts (area), but there are more people living in NJ.. about 9.2m vs 7m.. There is also the possibility of people crossing the border (or passing through) into NJ to buy tickets Hmm NY... 19.7m vs California at 39 million (and Texas at 30 million

$1.25 BILLION: Mega Millions jackpot set to deliver unimaginable wealth
Those in the mindfulness space say that If you chase something, it gets further and further away from you So I guess the trick is to just do your thing, buy your tickets as you would any other time and the rest is a waiting game. I believe the lottery fatigue sets in when you are on top gear chasing after it. After a lengthy talk with myself, from now moving forward, am just letting it flow. Getting my QP and leaving the rest to Lady Fortune.

$1.25 BILLION: Mega Millions jackpot set to deliver unimaginable wealth
I got lucky. I found a pool buying tickets for the Friday Mega Millions draw that let me join. Now I am really looking forward to the draw. We never have jackpots this large in Canada. On the other hand, even though our jackpots are smaller, we get to keep all the money - no taxes on lottery wins.

$900 MILLION: Powerball jackpot rises, but sales miss in last draw makes for small increase
That app was OK, but in reality not needed when you think that most establishments sell lotto tickets in lottery participating states. Here in this town of 2300 there are four places to play all in a 3km or so area, an easy walk. Last night used the Ottolball and played @ the store. Now just manually put them in on-line play. Usually don't play on Sundays but what the heck!! When Primm lotto store in CA opens in a couple or so hours will check to see if they have live-feed, don't th

$725 MILLION: Powerball jackpot now 11th-largest in history
Had bought tickets in GA TN as well as here in KY...nada. Also have Indiana ticket from several weeks ago. Just bought some more PB/PP in KY and had also purchased not yet drawn tickets in GA TN Mega Millions. Hey, has anyone noticed that Lottery Places (at least on my phone) won't work? Says when they get the bugs out of the app to reactivate it.

Georgia: 7/1 - 7/31/2023
Hey LP, I am just curious has ANYONE won from the $30.00 promotion that is running from July 3, to July 30? The reason I am asking because at my store they are a lot of lottery players and no one has won. That is really weird. Probably another scam to get us to buy more tickets. Geez....

Lotto Jackpot Questions
The Lottery Officials would not and could not by law pay you the jackpot twice. The advertised jackpot amount is a fixed amount. However, they'd probably cut you one check for the full amount of the advertised jackpot (minus taxes) but that's IF you are the sole winner. If you were not the sole winner, then the parimutuel aspect of the game kicks in. If you had either of two winning tickets or two identical lines printed on your ticket then you'd win two thirds of the advertised jackpot amo

Massachusetts Mega Millions winner who had $3 million ticket stolen from him claims prize
Kind of a back door feel good lottery story---a happy ending! Since it wasn't an ongoing problem with the store, unless I missed it, they can continue to sell lotto tickets. ICR if MA uses decoy tickets to catch potential store employees trying to rip folks off. I know CA used to and years ago KY did too. Sad thing is how many dishonest folks there are out there.

ChatGPT A.I. picked a winning ticket.
Tally the GPT (ChatGPT or similar transformer) Eurojackpot winning and losing predictions for a month or so and compare to expected (expected with uniform random guessing). Tally up all the losing and winning predictions and post the results. The number of test predictions should be greater than ~300 to start getting some statistically significant results. No need to spend money on Eurojackpot tickets in order to collect the prediction data. It would be fun to see prediction performance bet
