But (I assume) that would be pretty easy to catch -- ticket was sold while store was closed -- should be an easy search So.. Pretty much a meaningless crime.. It depends on your state. You could email them and ask what to do in that situation. Tickets for draw games are time stamped pretty precisely, so I don't see how you'd get away with claiming one you didn't purchase. Scratchers are iffy because they're not timestamped, but they are serial numbered. What if you bought a bunch of scratchers at a vending machine and accidentally picked up another one someone else had left behind in the receptacle? Good questions. Personally, I don't pick up lott

We can buy lottery tickets online here and the vending machines are in grocery stores so the store owners are pushing their luck here. Add that to my long list of why I have no interest in casinos. I do not want to see sad people gambling their life away vs playing for fun and entertainment. Casinos are not close and convenient for most people. People with gambling issues are being enticed daily with a poor economy and inflation. Same here . In my state(Louisiana), it is not legal to buy lottery tickets with a credit card. Is it legal in Florida? Did he win any big prizes or was he sending in large numbers of tickets for second chance drawings? I don't feel bad for him since he stole from his employer and used a credit card which could be easily traced. He'll be locked away for a while.

In Texas a pack usually has a guarantee of 50% of the cost of the pack, give or take, so a $10 pack costing $500 is guaranteed to return about $250. I wouldn't say the outcome is most likely profitable. Possible, yes, not most likely. I imagine scratch ticket odds are the same in any other state selling lottery tickets, but I haven't researched other states, so I may be wrong.
