This thread sounds antagonistic from the start. If you'd like to start a thread on backtesting, it sounds more appropriate to backtest your own system, rather than appearing to pick on someone you don't like. If Lakerben posts a system that you don't like, then don't read his thread. Start your own thread with your own ideas. I just don't understand the concept of trying to destroy another fan of the lottery, just because that person posts forum topics you don't agree with.

Anyone can request data from an official state lottery. The website mentioned (which I have removed since they are an abusive website that actually hates the lottery) simply requests the data from the Texas Lottery. So if you want a copy of the sales data for any drawing, just request it directly from the lottery. By doing so, you don't rely on a website as a middle-man. Get it from the source.

That page is probably going to updated with a higher jackpot amount (maybe $800 million or more) because they still haven't updated the cash value to $388 million. As we know , the annuity is calculated from the cash value, not the other way around.

Weirdly, the cash value was just upped to $388 million (11th-largest US cash value in history), but the annuity did not change ( $660 million ). So, more ticket sales are happening than expected, but I suppose interest rates (used to calculate the annuity) went down a bit.
