Maryland Lottery interim director named
Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley's office has named Gina Smith as the Maryland State Lottery's Interim Director after the departure of Director Buddy Roogow on November 30th. N.C. Lottery's Shaheen named president of Powerball group
North Carolina Education Lottery Executive Director Tom Shaheen has been elected to the top position of the association that offers the Powerball lottery game. Shaheen was elected president of the Multi-State Lottery Association's board of directors. His term, which began July 1, lasts for one year. Iowa Lottery retail check finds no cheating
The Iowa Lottery said today it found no evidence that lottery ticket winners were cheated when it conducted security checks last month at 120 retail sites statewide.
