Virginia Lottery drawings moving from TV to Internet
Beginning today, Virginia Lottery drawings will move to the Internet. The daily draw shows and twice-a-week Win For Life drawings that were held on TV now will be available online only, according to the lottery's Web site. The final TV drawing was held on Saturday. A new way to play the lottery in Arkansas debuted yesterday. Lottery retailers can now sell tickets for Cash 3, a game that allows players to pick three numbers in hopes of matching them to numbers selected by a random number generator at the lottery's headquarters in Little Rock. Oklahoma Lottery sales hurt by lagging economy
Lottery ticket sales declined about $11.3 million in the past fiscal year, mainly because of a downturn in the economy, Oklahoma officials said. The Clinic Gals of Dexter, Missouri, have been named the December Lottery Team of the Month, earning the group of Powerball-playing co-workers and friends a prize package of Lottery merchandise.
