The South Carolina Senate passed a bill Tuesday allowing low-income parents of private school children to receive financial support, similar to what public school kids have been receiving for years from the state lottery.
The K-12 Education Lottery Scholarship would use funds from the South Carolina Education Lottery to fund scholarships for private schools.
