Changes could be coming for the Ohio Lottery, including adding electronic table poker, online gaming, and a greater variety of instant tickets.

Former Ohio Lottery worker sentenced for stealing instant tickets

A former Ohio Lottery Commission employee has been sentenced to probation for stealing $115,000 in instant lottery tickets and cashing in winners.
David Dragelevich, 40, was sentenced Monday morning by a Mahoning County judge to five years probation and will have to pay restitution after pleading guilty to theft back in August.

Sons win lottery after listening to mom's advice

Two brothers who just hit the lotto jackpot have their mother to thank.
Jay Young and Christopher Saddler of Garfield Heights, Ohio, played the Ohio Lottery's Pick 5 last Friday, using the numbers their mother, Betty Burton, suggested. Mom gave me the numbers to play, and I gave the numbers to Chris so we both decided to get a ticket, Young told Ohio lottery officials.

Ohio Lottery to conduct review of operations
Not a move to privatization, officials say
State officials say there are no plans to privatize the Ohio Lottery Commission amid a pending top-to-bottom review of its management and a document holding out privatized state lotteries as models of interest.

Massive Ohio Lotto jackpot finally won

Somebody had to win it eventually.
The Ohio Classic Lotto ended a non-winning streak of more than 2-1/2 years this weekend, with one winning ticket sold for a $73.3 million jackpot.
Saturday's Classic Lotto numbers were 3, 8, 26, 28, 34, and 35. The Kicker was 103479.
