I've stumbled across Pick 5 lotteries, looking for a daily game to keep me entertained during the Powerball/Mega Millions non-draw nights.  I can easily play either CT Cash 5 or NY Take Five.  Which one is the better deal?

Yeah, I looked around at the payouts on Match 5 from other states....dismal compared to CT.  I'll be very happy with the $100,000 top prize if I can win it!

Are you still playing NY's Pick 10? I might make that & Take 5 my focus when I don't play NY Lotto/Mega Millions.

            Maverick,

I've given Pick 10 a break.  I played it twice, my first time on a Keno game, just requires a whole different method...I'll come back to it at some point.

I'm putting a lot of energy into Powerball and Mega Millions.  Plus, the CT Classic Lotto jackpot is almost equal to the odds...I play $1 on CT Cash 5 about once a week.

58% prize return on Connecticut Cash 5 vs 38%-40% in NY Lotto 6/59.

What's the return percentage on New York's Take Five? Thanx.

if i went to new york more often than once a year, i'd play pick 10.

I've redone my website.  Go to www.dr-ew.com.  I kept a lot of the old stuff, and I've added some new stuff.  Look for more new stuff in the coming weeks.

I kinda like it. Pick 10 is a really hard game to crack though... so many numbers to chart. I wouldn't be surprised if it's the least popular/played NY game.

I think it is the least played game. But it's a pretty cheap game to operate, so I expect it to stick around. As far as the NY vs. CT debate. If you like big lower payouts, Take Five is definately the way to go. 3/5 pays around $20, and unlike CT you get a free ticket for matching 2. A single winner in both games wins about $100,000, but in both games multiple winners have to share it. If your'e willing to $1.50 a play, CT offers a kicker feature which is out of this world.

Pick 10 certainly is the least-played NY online game. In fact the numbers are NOT shown on free TV. But I obviously would recommend P-10 over NY Lotto 6/59-you have a much better chance per $ of matching 0 numbers for $4 than winning the $1 prize in NY Lotto.

Free TV? I wasn't aware it was shown at all, even on cable.

                              Pick10 can be played online?

Well in my experience, I hit 3 #'s in NY Lotto twice (one with my own #'s & once with a QP). Pick 10 never paid me, although I hit 4 #'s before.
