Maryland Classic Lotto is 6/49, two plays for $1 IIRC.

The Maryland lotto game is by far one of the worst they give you two games for a buck big deal. The rollover is bad people I know that play it would rather play mega mill how can a state like Maryland compete with a jackpot game like mega. You would think Buddy would propose a better lotto for MD. but I guess he's is more concerned with scratchers. The games starts out with a million dollars and if you were to win they take almost half in taxes. That's not a good deal in my book. If we had any other large jackpot game the lotto would go down the drain. Maryland needs to re structure it's jackpot games. If they want more people to play them.

Has Mr Roogow considered joining Lotto South? (Kentucky sells it, and like MD is a borderline              Southern state)

Maryland has a great pick-5 game, although it's not jackpot-driven.

Bonus Match 5 is one play for $1 or three for $2.

Actually, you still have to report it, and the $50,000 is AFTER withholdings.

                  Good day all,

On the question of Maryland lotto changing, I don't feel it will. This game has been with us for so long, and I think that the revenue from it is allocated to someone or something in someway that Msla will not get rid of it. I maybe wrong, but that's just a feeling I have.

I know someone, who knows someone that won a bonus match 5 and received a check for 47,000 approximately.

                  gotta go. Litebets27

All games change from time to time. I can see Maryland joining Lotto South.

                      Your right,

But Maryland is soooo slow to update and change. It maybe years from now before they decide to change this one.

Do you go to DC or West Virginia for Powerball? If so, do you also play Hot Lotto?

Ain't gonna happen. Buddy is going to concentrate on another 100 different scratchers to go with the 100 they got. it's his biggest seller 119 million dollars profit from scratchers alone.

As for the bonus match 5 being a tax free deal. They started that a while back because of complaints that the game wasn't worth the effort to play with taxes being withheld. We have one of the highest tax brackets for the lottery. Sales slipped for BM5 and they decided to pay the taxes. I play BM5 every day and haven recovered 1/8 of my investment yet. It's not as easy to win as one would think. I don't know the amount of people who win top prize each year is. If you go by their press release pages it's only about 10 times a year.
