South Carolina's lottery, almost three years old, still does not have a mid-level jackpot game.

I doubt they'll be joining Lotto South, as much of a good idea that would be. If they we're going to have a mid-level game, they'd either join Hot Lotto or start their own in-state Lotto.

I'd like to see more states join Hot Lotto, but that may not happen.

The SC Education Lottery will be starting a new Jackpot game February 2005, so no, as far as I can see, we will not be joining Lotto South.

            Introducing:

            1. This game will be drawn 3 times a week.

            2. This game will only be played in South Carolina.

            3. Like Powerball, this game will feature a multiplier that will let you multiply all prize levels (EVEN THE TOP PRIZE) up to 5 times. With the multiplier, the top prize could be half a million dollars!

            4. You win a prize by matching as few as 2 numbers!

            5. The game will launch in February 2005.

(This is all they're telling right now)

My guess it will be a 5/39, the fixed non-multiplied top prize is $100,000, and will be a $1/play + $1/multiplier. If only they had a rolling jackpot, then PA's Cash 5 would've finally been topped.

SC still needs to join Hot Lotto or Lotto South in the near future.

appearantely that's the case, and it's looking like other states are considering it too.

I've redone my website.  Go to www.dr-ew.com.  I kept a lot of the old stuff, and I've added some new stuff.  Look for more new stuff in the coming weeks.

I could see TN selling it too in the near future, and maybe West Virginia and Florida.

Remember FL won't go multi-state under Jeb Bush.

Somebody suggested CA and FL start their own multi-state game.

I believe CA will join Mega Millions; FL will join Powerball as the last state without a multi-state game.
