Just Curious...if one could win a major lottery payout that resulted in more then $20 million gross (before taxes), what percentage would you dedicate to a charity (of your choice)?

Speaking entirely of myself and myself alone, I would allocate funds in the amount of $1.6 million gross to each of my direct family members (daughter, brother, sister, neices & nephews - cousins don't count) and allocate about 5% to local pet shelter our family supports and another 5% amongst other various charities.

Just curious as to how far ahead folks have considered a major win (I guess I dream way too much).

I wouldn't dedicate a percentage but it just depends on how much I get as to how much I'd give.

If you think a charity is worthy of your support, why would you wait until you won a major lottery payout?  That's almost like saying you will your favorite charity when hell freezes over, because odds of either ever happening are big.
