Let's all try to make some progress with our prediction skills this time.

    Good luck to all challengers,

P.S. - fja tightened the screws a bit for those who might be trying to predict the red PowerBall number. He did it with four number selections. Actually, just two of his number selections were in the 1/42 PowerBall pool. Depending on how you interpret his success, you'll either have to pick the PowerBall from one or three selections to do better, so give it your best shot.

Last drawing was a DUD for me I think because I changed things up to use a supposedly hot key number.

Aye...two out of eight is outstanding.  If you can achieve that fairly consistently, it would appear you are on to something.

Jag, you also did a good job.

                              pigskin,

Thank you. After matching three from ten on Saturday, I wasn't sure if I could come right back with some decent numbers. I think the size and complexity of the PowerBall game makes it very difficult to predict with the kind of consistency that's needed to crack the game. I've noticed that it sometimes takes several draws to see any results from tweeking my selection method. Even when I do see results,  I'm often left wondering if I've done something right or if I've just been coincidentally lucky.

I decided to go with seven or eight numbers from now on because I'll dventually have to be at least that accurate in order to have any hope of cracking this game. If I can predict all the numbers within seven or eight selections, I'l be able to put all possible combinations of those selections into play. That's starting to look like a very real possibility to me. It may still take some luck to hook up to the red PowerBall itself, but I'm working out something for that also.

I've found a good starting point for choosing my numbers, and I'm gradually finding more and more ways to fine tune my selections. I'm becoming more and more convinced that the solution to cracking this game has to be mathematical, so I'm looking at those kinds of ways to filter out numbers in my selection process. I feel confident that any remaining numbers will make sound combinations for play. I'm not quite ready to claim success, but I think I finally have a methodology to match my desire to win.

It would really be great to see The Pigskin Challenge thread evolve into a place for pre- and post-drawing discussion of our methods as we all evaluate and try to improve upon our efforts. I take the jackpot games very seriously, and I'm hoping we can have a serious exchange of ideas about what we're doing here. As I've said before, this isn't merely about posting a bunch of numbers every drawing and and being able to say that we had so many numbers. Neither is it just a social forum; that can be done anywhere. The Pigskin Challenge is about making progress at improving our prediction skills for the purpose of cracking this PowerBall game. It can be done, and we have to stay focused on that if we are to have any hope of succeeding.

Let's all redouble our efforts to crack this game. Nobody else is going to do it for us, so let's sharpen our pencils and keep our brains working on some fresh ideas. We can do this. Let's make 2005 the year we find a method to win at will in this game. Keep working at it.

                              Good luck,

                              aye'
