CASH Only:

I had to work on it a while but I finally came up with it...

Spelling Lottery Post using "Smoke Signals"

May the warm winds of heaven blow softly upon your house. May  the Great Spirit bless all who enter there. May your mocassins make happy tracks in many snows. And may the rainbow always touch your shoulder.

if you try to go to the source of the graphic (url) it gives a "Forbidden" error. Find the original graphic (assuming it's online and still there!) and recopy the URL.

I wouldn't play NY Lotto unless the jackpot is way up. I think it's 21 mill. The Take5 is a better deal. I just hated when they had a HUGE Mega Millions jackpot they borrowed the NY Lotto and Take 5 machines to draw the numbers! There should be a rule against doing that! When they did my temporary algorithm was "Play numbers from Lotto and Take 5 as the mega numbers".. I got 2 of 5.

Chief, I don't see it either.  You may see it because it is in a file on your personal computer or you are authorized to see it , the link is not active to the general public.

The only way to be sure that an image will stay intact is to copy the image to your own personal web space.  (Like the personal web space allotted to Gold and Platinum members at Lottery Post.)

Web sites do not like people linking to their images, because every time someone views the image, it uses bandwidth from their web server, instead of from the web server that it's displayed on.  It is called leeching.

For example, the image you linked to was from a web site called uselessgraphics.com.  But you're showing the image at Lottery Post.  So, although the casual viewer would go to Lottery Post and see a cool graphic image there, whoever is hosting uselessgraphics.com is paying for the bandwidth that is used to send the image to your PC.

Although bandwidth is not crazy-expensive, when enough web sites start linking to your images, it can put a serious drain on expenses.

So what's a thrifty webmaster to do?  They do things like changing the names and locations of their images from time to time in order to stop people from leeching images.  Why should one webmaster pay for images that are displayed on someone else's web site?  If another website wants to display an image, they should copy the image file to their own web server, and pay for any bandwidth costs associated with displaying it.

Likewise, if a person wants to ensure that an image is shown, they should copy the image to their own web space.

You're right about Take Five v NY Lotto, since the latter pays back ONLY 38%-40% in prizes.

                      From the NY Lottery website:

For each Take Five draw, 50% of the sales for the draw is allocated as prize money. This money is distributed as follows:

                      First Prize20%
                      Second Prize30%
                      Third Prize50%

Thanx johnph77. I'm not a math wiz. Can any of the above info answer how much the return percentage goes back to the winners? I emailed www.nylottery.org before.

Take Five returns 50%, compared to 38%-40% in NY Lotto.

                            Maverick -

By inference, 10% of all money wagered will go to the first prize winner(s), 15% of all money wagered will be split among the second prize winners and 25% of all money wagered will be split among the third prize winners.
