Tomorrow, the Florida Lottery will officially end their long-standing relationship with IGT and will begin using the very popular GTech technology. They have used IGT's online system since the lottery began in 1988. GTech's terminals are much more capable, and the Florida Lottery is taking advantage with the itroduction of "Grouper". But for me it's a little sad to see FL's relationship with IGT end. I remember very fondly the beautiful single-play tickets those terminals printed out. It had painted scenes of the seascape on the top of the ticket. This kind of thing would've never been possible with a GTech machine. But hey, gotta move ahead.
