This new feature represents some of the most substantial features I have added to Lottery Post in the past year.

I have tried to figure out how many hours I have put into this new Wheels section, and my best guess is approximately 280 hours.  I have been working on this for a long time.

The section is not complete, but has a complete framework for adding new wheel features in the future.  There is full support for three wheel types:

  • Full Wheels
  • Key Wheels
  • Abbreviated Wheels

In addition, I have created a substantial filtering capability, which you can find on all Full Wheels.  I spent a lot of time constructing this filtering capability in such a way that I will be able to use it in other ways in the future.  (For example, being able to filter any list of numbers you input.)  Right now it's used to filter out combinations from Full Wheels.  Thanks to Lantern for consulting with me on the filters.

I have added instructions on all the pages, such you should be able to figure out all the pages pretty easily.

Also, I created a lot of show/hide technology, which lets you expand or collapse sections, depending on whether you want to see them on the page or not.  This technology may show up in other sections of the site in the future.  I hope this technology is useful for you in hiding sections that you aren't using.

The wheels section is one of those projects that I just had to pick a point in the development cycle, and release it at some point, because I have a feeling it will never be totally finished.  There will always be new things to add.  So yes, there will be new wheels and new game types (e.g., Pick 3 and Pick 4), but those will come in a later release.

Also, in keeping with other sections of Lottery Post, you'll see that there is functionality for everyone, and there is functionality that only premium members can access.  BTW, If there are any Gold members that want to upgrade to Platinum, just send me a PM, and we can work out pricing.

This new wheels section was really exhausting, so I'm glad to finally release it.

Please feel free to post any feedback - positive or negative - and let me know what you think.

    Todd:

You have done a great deed in creating the Wheels Section. You have made this so much of an easier task for everyone.

I've redone my website.  Go to www.dr-ew.com.  I kept a lot of the old stuff, and I've added some new stuff.  Look for more new stuff in the coming weeks.

Lucky sent me a great suggestion, which I have added.

You can now load the wheel numbers with Quick Picks by clicking one button - very simple!

Plus, you can control the range of numbers to select the Quick Picks from, and choose if you want them to be sorted into the number spaces.

If you click the Quick Picks button and nothing happens, that means the page is being cached on your computer, and you just need to refresh the page.  Hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard while clicking the Refresh button on your browser, and then it should work fine.

                Todd:

You've done a GREAT job with the "Wheeling Section".

                My best to you always,

                Chief

Thanks TODD for your addition of WHEELS.  Even though I am not into wheels and do not really understand them, I have today learned a lot in your presentation.

Now that I think that I know a little about wheels, I have selected 10 numbers from my overall pool of 37 and wheeled them into 7 tickets and will test them in the Friday Mega Millions drawing.

Will post the results on Saturday.

Thanks again for a job very well done.

                    urug2000,

For Mega Millions (or Powerball), I'd suggest try a Pick 5 wheel to select the first 5 numbers, and then use whatever strategy you like for the Mega Balls (either one number, or a few numbers, or random numbers).

Alternatively, if you want to use all the same Mega Ball, you can use a Pick 6 Key wheel, and use the Key number as your Mega Ball.  The problem with that strategy is that your Mega Ball number cannot be the same as one of the first five numbers.

Eventually, I will be coming out with pre-built wheels especially for all 5+1 games, like MM and PB.

Todd, what an awesome addition to LP.  I've just started using wheels in the IL little lotto.  Had some luck with 2-3 numbers but I always had to go to another site to get my wheel patterns.  Thanks for including it here.
