I have been having a time with arm since surgery..

Seems like something is wrong each week..

The day after surgery I saw it and fainted...

The next week.. cellulitis..SP?  set up in hand that had IV.. had to see doctor.

Got clamps out Monday.. and fainted again..

I was hit in arm by a third grader day before yesterday.. (out of meaness).. he meant too.. He hit me twice with his fist..

Last night the fingers started swelling..
My whole arm was swollen today..

I went back to Hospital.. Saw ER doctor.. who recommended I go back to my doctor. Can you believe that???? I went for help...

Oh well we will see how things go...

Anyway.. during this few weeks I have had time to study numbers..

TNTEA....I hope things get better soon. Please stay on top of it with your dr. ,I just had a close friend almost die from a hernia that she and her surgeon knew she had had for a few years now, many months of pain and still her surgeon kept telling her it was not big enough to operate on. Well when they did have to operate in an emergency situation there was food (undigested) all in her cavity. She almost died, was on respirator and in ICU ffor several weeks. She knew things were just not right, yet she could not get her Dr. to believe her. Lesson here: Find another Dr. if yours does not listen to you and you know there is a problem. Wishing a speedy recovery to you...

PS...That third grader needed a little attitude adjustment...in the worst of ways....

         Tntea!

It's GOTTA get better BEFORE It gets Worse!  I wake/sleep SOME kind of pain everyday from multiple fracures I've gotten over the yrs. but I'm not a "pill for pain " person so I try to get through the day/nite as best as I can! That works for me but u need to check urself with another doc. Most of them don't like to take over another docs case but I think u NEED another opinion. Good Luck and Get Well Soon!!!!

That ER sounds like the ER in the VA hospital I go to in Virginia after you've sat there about 8 hours waiting to get in. I hope the arm gets better soon.

               Good Luck,

                  what is a venus doppler?

The swelling is down.. just a puffy index finger on left hand.. looks like I sprung it the other night..

other than that ..the arm is fine.. I kept the Ace Bandage off.. and it feels great..

a venous doppler indicates the blood flow in your arm...............whether you have a blood clot is one of the things it checks...............

Having the ace wrap on to long or to tight will cause swelling. Let your arm breath and keep it elevated.

It is much better since the Ace came off a day or so ago..
