just something that im curious about????

do you think it matters where you play? i live in ny - nylottery and every time I go to nylottery.org to check the previous nights results the winners are seemingly always from the SAME places in ny state.

-capital region-  albany area

-bronx-brooklyn-queens

I understand these are probably well populated areas but is there something I'm missing ( besides a winning ticket).

I think it's just the "population" and the "luck" of the draw...

Stands to reason that places that sell more tickets are going to have more winners than places that sell small quanities. But the operative word is having bought the winning numbers the lottery dosent care where the ticket was purchased it's all about having bought the winning numbers.

Nope.  Having the winning ticket is the only thing that really counts.  Now being poor, buying the ticket with your last dollar, being a single mother with a bunch of kids, being unemployed or being religious and wanting to save the world and feed the poor might make a great story but they don't  matter, just having the winning ticket counts.
