Today on the History Channel they will show a documentary on the numbers game it's origins and how it evolved until the states finally adapted games of chance.

Now if they only could do something just about the history of state lotteries.

Four, did you happen to catch "Breaking the Bank in Vegas" on the History Channel. Here is my deal, and I didn't catch all of it, Ron Harris WAS NOT cheating in my opinion. They are claiming that he used a computer system to predict the winning keno numbers. If the keno numbers are randomly generated the it would be impossible to predict what the winning numbers were...........right?

I'v seen that program before and you are correct but i think vagas keno odds are better than most state lottery. If he was able to break the code that they use then i guess it could be easy to pick certain numbers. I wrote somthing about this in the keno thread a few days ago.

here's my take on this I think if i could find a top notch programer and aim a camera at the keno screen have the program running with the camera capturing all the numbers in the program say for 3 straight days a programer should be able to print out a list of popular numbers from it.

The problem is the lotterys change the chipsets that run the keno game. So if you knew when they changed the chipset and were able to tape the drawings until the next chipset change. And you were a high level programer you could write a program from the results of the test. I'm sure lotterys know this that why they change the chipsets possably sometime in between it's cycle. Like all programs the chipset has code than can be broke.

On another note i have a friend who has a photographic memory and she can remember every number drawn for every game she waches she is able to pick up on certain numbers and can bet accordingly, has won some money but is usually asked to leave when she starts cashing in a lot the people who own the keno machines thinks she is somehow cheating and ask her to stop playing or leave the premisis.

            GoArmy,

The main reason Ron Harris is a cheat is beause he worked or was hired by the Gambing Board to analyze computer programs that the Casino's used. As smart as he is in life he was a dumb thief, his plan was crap otherwise he might have got away with it..

I tell ya what regardless of him being a dumb thief or not, I would definitely buy that man a beer.

That is a form of brilliance to be able to do something like that but I agree he could have done 15,000 things better and gotten away with it.

Four, I am with you a hundred percent. I definitely need to find me a good programmer. I think that I am going to go on a search of one at my next command and let him earn a little spending money. We dont have any up here in Great Lakes right now.

Outside of finding or working with a programer i have done just about everything one could possable do to try and win the keno 10 spot. I have got 8 numbers many times but that was just a tease. We have three minutes between games and i have shoved as many as 20 tickets in the machine. For a total of 5 times at one sitting and i was lucky to get back half my money. Keno is a take in pay out persentage game. (pays out a persentage of the take.) No one has won the keno 10 spot game in maryland in so long it's pathetic. I even schemed up a way if i got twenty guys and we all put 20 play slips all with different numbers in a machine at different locations at exactly the same time. We might hit the 10 spot that was when the 10 spot was worth a million dollars.

Now it a palsy 100,000 and isn't worth the effort.

I'd like to know how casinos can legally throw you out for winning too much without showing how you're cheating.  Free drinks all night for losers though.

                    Four,

That 100,000 would sit me up pretty nice right now. I would dump it all into land.........all right, I would dump most of it into land and some into some pretty extravagant partying. It still sounds pretty interesting.

LazyJim, I couldn't agree more. That is a big pile of horse Bin Laden! I sit at a poker table in Atlantic city one time and saw a guy drop at LEAST 10 grand. Never even looked at his cards. The guy fell off of his chair twice and never had a chance. The dealer looked like she didn't want him to bet either but I think that the pit boss was running the show. I begged the guy to leave but I got the whole "I love you man" deal.

It's because they are a business.  And any business can choose or deny service to any customer they wish. There's no law that says any business must provide their service to anyone who asks for it. This happens all the time with the service industry. Now government is something else again....

You're undoubtedly right on that account Badger,  but I'd sure like to see a legal challenge sometime in respect to that.  I can see a business denying service or entry for a customer being disruptive or found to be cheating as pertains to this regard, but to be thrown out for not losing?

Yeah Army, Funny how the casinos don't notice (or mind) a situation like that, but start winning consistently and it's out the door and don't come back.

are they going to re-air it anytime soon?

I've redone my website.  Go to www.dr-ew.com.  I kept a lot of the old stuff, and I've added some new stuff.  Look for more new stuff in the coming weeks.
