The Pigskin Challenge: POWERBALL 3-5-'05

\$19,000,000.00

1. The object of The Pigskin Challenge is to correctly identify all the  numbers to be drawn in the Powerball game.

2. No more than ten number selections may be used to predict the numbers from the 5/53 matrix.

3. Due to its popularity, prediction of the red PowerBall number from the 1/42 matrix is now officially a part of The Pigskin Challenge. There is presently no limit on the amount of numbers that may be used to predict it.*

For those who dare, you can specify one number from your picks in each matrix as most likely to hit . Just be sure to make it perfectly clear which one number you are selecting as most likely to hit in each matrix. There's no penalty if you don't specify any most likely numbers. It's just an attempt to get a little better read on how well our systems are working as opposed to having our numbers come up by pure chance.

This is all done with an eye toward helping us improve the accuracy and consistency of our prediction skills. Hopefully, it will also help us find a way to crack this PowerBall game.

The 'skindex rating system will be applied to all entries for purposes of evaluation and comparision of our efforts. The maximum possible score is 100 points.

Good luck to all Challengers,

aye'

* getpaid suggested in a recent post that we limit the number of selections for predicting the red PowerBall. His suggestion was that we use no more than three numbers from the 1/42 matrix. I have no strong preference about this, but I'd like to hear from other Challengers before we set any such limit. Your feedback on this matter will be greatly appreciated and seriously considered.

I've cooked up an extra special batch of numbers for Saturday's drawing. The results will be a vast improvement on my dismal showings in recent draws. I'm predicting that there will be at least a 2+0 or 1+1 match from these numbers.

6-10-15-18-23-24-32-33-35-48  PB: 4-28

The 10 in the 5/53 pool and the 28 in the 1/42 pool are my most likely numbers.

Good luck,

11, 29, 32, 37, 42....I'm quite certain a 29 will come up as a white ball.

The powerball number should be either 03, 14, 17

Actually, I did manage to catch one number in the Wednesday Challenge. That was better than the three consecutive zeros I'd had in prior drawings. After sitting on those goose eggs down in the basement for so long, even the Moonie Award would be a step up for me.

I'm not preparing an acceptance speech though. These numbers I've put up for tomorrow night's drawing will kill. You can bank on it.

missed a few rounds because I had to re-do parts of the spreadsheet I use... made a copy and some changes and will be using 8 wb's tonight (underlined numbers appeared in both versions) and 2 PBs...

White Balls  04-05-13-30-32-45-46-53

Power Balls  10-16

Good luck everyone.

I am about to go with a clean-sheet design because the current system is just not consistent. but it backtests better than the other systems I have worked with.
