Just for fun, I created a possible prize structure for a national 6/48 + 1/20 game. Prizes would be paid for matching 6+1, 6, 5+1, 5, 4+1, 4, 3+1, 3, 2+1, and 1+1 (but not 0+1, since it's not that much harder to hit 1+1 than it is 0+1). Assuming a prize pool of 50% of sales, and assuming 63.98% of the prize pool is for the jackpot, the following prize structure would be possible:
<SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 9pt; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana">Match<SPAN style="mso-tab-count: 4"> </SPAN>Prize <SPAN style="mso-tab-count: 4"> </SPAN>Odds<SPAN style="mso-tab-count: 3"> </SPAN>% of Prize Fund<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p></SPAN>
