At 6/49 odds of 1:13,983,816 , the current LOTTO South jackpot of $14million for Wednesday April 6th is once again an attractive overlay. It's actually more money at far lower odds than the PowerBall game will be offering on the same day!

I don't normally put a lot of work or money into this game, but I think I'll have to analyze it a little more closely and hit it a little harder for the upcoming drawing. It's not one of those gigantic jackpots that excite many people, but $14million any kind of way will suit me just fine.

If you're not in a LOTTO South state, you might want to find your way to Georgia, Virginia  or Kentucky to buy some tickets.

Good luck to all who play,

aye'

    Aye:

Given the population of the three states, Lotto South could be a 6/52 or 6/53 without expanding to a fourth state.

but lotto south needs to expand to more states.

I've redone my website.  Go to www.dr-ew.com.  I kept a lot of the old stuff, and I've added some new stuff.  Look for more new stuff in the coming weeks.

Both Lotto South and Hot Lotto need to expand.

Thanks for your interest guys, but I'm just talking about a good betting opportunity presented by this overlay for LOTTO South players. I happen to live in a LOTTO South state and I haven't heard anyone around here complaining about the game. You put your money down, you take your chances, and you win or lose. That certainly doesn't mean that the game has to be overhauled. Is there any lottery game in all of America that you don't want to change?

I'll have to defer to your expertise on running lottery games. Maybe there's a state lottery commission out there that would like to hire you as consultants. Perhaps you can continue to develop your ideas in the existing poll thread about changing the LOTTO South game. http://www.lotterypost.com/thread/102987 Maybe you can contact the Virginia Lottery with your findings.

I'm really more concerned here with the interest, strategies, and number selections of people who will actually be playing the game on Wednesday.

          Good luck,

          aye'

There are no major flaws IMO with Lotto South. Virginia's 6/49 (which arguably was too big a number field for VA, which already had Mega Millions) became Lotto South without adding to the matrix, which looking back could have been changed to 6/52 or 6/53 (the latter in FL). Adding one state would make a 6/54 or 6/55 matrix viable in my opinion. Remember too that the Southeast is rapidly growing.

I think in the next two years that South Carolina and Tennessee will join lotto south.  I saw a press release early this year from SC that said they and several other states are looking into a regional multi state game.

Lotto south rollsover 1 million after each draw if nobody wins.  If TN and SC join then it could go up 2 million between draws.  (Maybe)

I matched only one number. I hope the pot rolls so I can take another shot at this overlay.

If TN joined I think the following would happen

Jackpots would start at $3 million and roll 1.5 million.

                          or

They would add a Monday Draw and keep starting Jackpot at $2 million and roll 1 million.

Lotto South needs a bigger matrix.
