Then everybody will migrate back to NY Lotto and its terrible 38%-40% prize return!

Why in tarnation would NY ever leave MM?  Where would it go?  Lotto South?

Who starts such rumors, hehe...and for the record I didn't say NY was joining Lotto South.

Lotto South is a MUCH BETTER game than NY Lotto 6/59.

Actually, New York is only thinking of pulling out of Mega Millions because the state is considering barring gambling all together - therefore, the NY Lotto would probably cease to exist as well if Mega Millions does.

it would make things easier for the other mega millions states. NY keeps on having winners.

I've redone my website.  Go to www.dr-ew.com.  I kept a lot of the old stuff, and I've added some new stuff.  Look for more new stuff in the coming weeks.

I wonder how much the bookies and Indian Casino's are paying to sponsor the ban on gambling.

Nobody "keeps having winners" lately in Mega Millions.  So far this year, it has only been won twice, compared to Powerball's seven.

Oh, for the love of god. The people of New York will rebel in such a big way if they lost their lottery. No more Pick 10, Take Five, no, them fundementalists have got to be stopped. But if they just got rid of Mega Millions, they might make Lotto better to make up for it.

I doubt NY would pay better in Lotto 6/59. They probably would simply make the jackpot harder to win.

Doesn't sound to me like NY is considering banning gambling (in fact, they're doing all they can to keep it alive, it sounds like). But I'm not from NY, so I haven't had a chance to follow it that closely. Ryan, could you post a link to an article that talks about the movement to ban gambling in NY? Thanks
