Out here in the horse'sbutt state, (North Carolina) we can not play any lotteries. Our government and churches think it will make poor people even poorer. So they do the next best thing.TAX THEM TO DEATH. I can not understand for the life of me why people belive poor poeple will get poorer by playing the lottery. Don't they get poorer by paying taxes that they can not afford. Don't poor people drink or smoke? Don't they buy gas? I quess they don't pay income tax, or property tax. It's nice to know that our leaders DON'T GIVE A CRAP ABOUT THE PEOPLE THAT PUT THEM IN OFFICE. I wish they would all quit and go home.

    You got my sympathy.

Why don't you start a website advocating lotteries in North Carolina?

If I knew enough about the internet and that kind of stuff I would. But when it comes to that, I am afraid I am out of my league.

Your state might be doing your a favor in the long run. Except for that person who does indeed hit a jackpot, no one else is making any money playing the games.

Examples: In IL, in both the Pick 6 games and now the Mega Millions games (starting in June), extra balls are being added to both games to reduce your chances of ever winning much of anything.  ***I think there has only been 1 jackpot winner in the IL Pick 6 game so far this year. That game starts out as a $2-million game and rolls over until someone wins it.  It rolled over, I think, to $37-million until there was a winner. Now it is projected that Mega Millions could hit to $500-million before there is a winner- 1 out of 175,000,000.

Have fun but don't bet any grocery money on any lotto game.

I play to dream and dream of winning a major jackpot!

It's like driving your car on the highway. You take a chance when you stick your neck out. I take the chance everyday on the highway. I think I can take a chance on the lottery. Wanna buy a ticket?

Where does it say that the Illinois Lotto game is adding extra balls to its drawings?

All I know is they recently increased their number of drawings to three nights a week and cut their minimum rollovers in half from $500,000 to $250,000.

In the IL Pick 6 game, I should have said "were added" and yes it has gone to 3 games per week.  As a result, I no longer play this game.

I don't call placing a $1.00 bet on the lotto risky, that is if you can afford the $1.00.  But, if one is dropping grocery money on the lotto that he/she can't afford, then I feel sorry for their other family members.

Possibly the worst game is NY Lotto 6/59-only 38%-40% of wagers are returned to players.

I would never spend grocery money on the lottery and I would never push my vehicle to the maximum speed on the highway nor drive like the bat outta hell. If I get to my destination safe--all fine and good. If I win the lottery--all fine and good--and better. Gotta eat to work to play the lottery.
